Operating Instructions 10 Contr ol panel Pr ogramme selector The pr ogramme selector defines the natur e of the washing cycle (e.g. water level, drum move- ment, number of rinses, spin speed) to suit the type of wash- ing, as well as the washing solu- tion.
Operating Instructions 11 EASY -CARE S Main washing cycle for easy-care textil es (mixed fabrics) at 40 °C to 60 °C. EASY IRON position: Main washing cycle at 40 °C for easy-care fabrics which, with the aid of this pr ogramme, only r equir e a gentle iron, if any ir oning at all.
Operating Instructions 12 Pr ogramme option buttons The pr ogramme options buttons ar e used to adapt the washing progr am to suit the degree of soiling of the washing. Progr amme options are not r e- quired for normally soiled washing. The differ ent functions can be combined together depending on the pr ogramme.
Operating Instructions 13 Consumption data and wash times The values given in the following table for selected pr ogr ammes were calculated under standar d conditions . They pr ovide a useful guide for opera tion in the home. What does UPDA TE mean? The contr ol system of your machine is fully electr onic.

P our about 1 litre of water thr ough the detergent dispenser dr awer into the washing machine. The next time a pr ogramme is started the solution container will be closed and the OKO valve can function correctly .
Operating Instructions 15 • Shake out washing before plac ing into the washing machine. • Do not place folded washing into the drum. • Observe tips such as " wash separ ately“ and "wash separ ately several times". Operating Instructions 16 Deter gents and Conditioners Which deter g ent and conditioner ? Use only deter gents and conditioner s which ar e suitable fo r use in au- tomatic washing machines.
Operating Instructions 17 Running a washing cycle Brief instructions A washing cycle consists of the following steps: 0 1. Set the correct washing pr ogramme: – Select the progr amme and temperatur e with the progr amme selector . – Select any progr amme options if requir ed.
Operating Instructions 18 Setting the W ashing Pr ogramme 3 See "Progr amme tables" for a suitable progr amme, correct temper atur e and possible progr amme options to suit the type of washing. 0 1. Set the pr ogramme selector to the desired washing pr ogramme with the desired temper ature.
Operating Instructions 19 Opening and closing the door 0 Open: Pull the handle on the door . 0 Close: Press the door firmly closed. The displays DOOR and START/P AUSE show when the appliance is switch.

Operating Instructions 21 Starting the W ashing Pr ogramme 0 1. Check that the water tap is open. 2. Start the washing progr amme: Press ST ART / PAUSE button. The washing pr ogramme will start. 3 If the DOOR and MAIN W ASH displa ys flash r ed after you press the START/P AUSE button, then the door has not been closed pr operly .
Operating Instructions 22 Change the washing pr ogramme Changing or stop ping the wash programme 0 1. Pr ess the START / P AUSE button. 2. T urn the pr o gr amme selector to OFF . The washing pr ogramme is stopped. 3. If requir ed, set a new washing progr amme.

Do not use ho usehold furniture polish or abrasive cleaners to clean panel and operating parts. 0 Wipe over the operating panels wi th a damp cloth. Use warm water . Set the deter gent dispensing dr awer into the guide tr acks and push it in. Wa s h i n g M a ch in e D r u m The washing machine drum is made fr om rust-free stainless steel.
Operating Instructions 28 Cleaning the dr ain pump P aper clips, nails and so on can sometimes get into the washing ma- chine with the washing and remain in the dr ain pump casing. Fluff and stra nds of fabric can gather on these items and block the dr ain pump.

Operating Instructions 30 The washing machine vibrates duri ng opera- tion or is uns table . The tr ansport packaging has not been r emoved. Remove tr ansport packaging accor ding to the installatio n and connec tion instructions. The height -adjustab le screw feet ar e wr ongly positioned.
Operating Instructions 31 Fab ric softener wa s not washed into machine; dr awer æ for condi- tioner is filled with wa- ter . The conditioner inse rt has not been corr ectly positioned inside the cond itioner com- partment or is blocked. Clean the deter gent dis- penser dr awer and attach the conditioner secur ely .
Operating Instructions 32 The door cannot be opened wh en the ap- plian ce is swi tche d on. The door is locked due to a high water level or a high temperature.
Operating Instructions 33 If the washing r esults ar e not sa tisfactory If the washing turns greyish and limescale deposits ar e pr esent in the drum • Insufficient detergent has been added. • Incorrect deter gent was used. • Stains were not pr e-treated.
Operating Instructions 34 Carrying out an emer gency emptying • If the washing machine no longer pumps out the water , emergency emptying must be carried out. • If the washing machine is located in a room in which below fr eezing temper atur es might occur , emer genc y emptying must be carried out.

Installation and connection instructions 45 Inlet Hose Connection A pr essure hose of 1.35m in length is supplied. If a longer inflow hose is r equir ed, only a VDE-approved, complete set of hoses with fitted hose scr ew co nnections is pe rmissible, available fr om AEG Service Force Centr es.
