11 Description of the appliance CO TT ONS W ashing pr ogr amme for white cotton at 95°C (main wash - rinses/sof- tener - long spin). LINEN/EASY CARES W ashing pr ogramme for cotton and synthetics (main wash fr om 60°C to COLD - rinses/softener - long spin).
12 EASY IRON With this pr ogr amme the laundry is gently washed at 40°C and spun to avoid any cr easing. In this way ir oning is easier . It cannot be combined with SENSITIVE option. P osition ENERGY SAVING corr esponds to a pr ogr amme for normally soi- led laundry with extended washing time.

Deter gent dispenser dr awer Compartment for pr ewash deter gent and stain r emover . The pr ewash deter gent is added at the beginning of the wash pr ogr amme. W eight of laundry T ypes of fabric and care labels The labels on garments help you to select the most suitable wash pr o- gr amme. The laundry should be sorted out accor ding to the type of fab- ric and the instructions indicated on car e labels. T emper atur es indicated on labels are always maximum temper atur es.
20 Delicates Micr ofibr es, synthetics or curtains marked with these symbols r equire a very gentle tr eatment. The DELICA TES pr ogr amme is suitable for this type of fabric. W oollens and particularly delicate items Fabrics such as wool, wool mix or silk marked with this symbol ar e par- ticularly sensitive to machine washing.
21 Deter gents and additives Which deter gent and additive? Use only deter gents and additives for washing machines. Follow the manufactur er’ s instructions.
22 How to wash Load the laundry Open the door . Place the laundry in the drum, one item at a time. Distribute laundry as evenly as possible. Close the door . Add deter gent and additives Pull the dr awer out till it stops. P our the main wash deter gent into com- partment .
Select the desir ed options depending on the degr ee of soil of the laundry . The corr esponding light comes on. Select the spin speed or RINSE HOLD option It is possible to select a lower spin speed by means of the r elevant button; the light corr esponding to the selected speed comes on.
24 Starting the pr ogramme 1. Check that the water tap is opened and the dr ain hose is corr ectly connected. 2. Pr ess ST ART P AUSE to start the progr amme.
25 At the end of the pr ogramme The machine stops automatically . A steadly zero appear s on the display . The END light comes on in the pr ogr amme pr ogress display and the ST ART P AUSE pilot light has gone out.

29 Cleaning and maintenance After each wash At the end of the wash pr ogr amme, pull the dispenser dr awer out a lit- tle to let it dry . Leave the door ajar to allow air to cir culate. If the machine is not used for a pr olonged period: Close the water tap and unplug the appliance.
Door seal Check fr om time to time the door seal and eliminate eventual possible objects that could be tr apped in the fold. Dr ain pump The pump should be inspected r egularly and particularly if the machine does not empty and/or spin the machine makes an unusual noise during dr aining due to objects such as safety pins, coins etc.
31 Remove any objects fr om the pump impeller by r otating it. Put the cap back on the emer- gency emptying hose and place the latter back in its seat. Scr ew the pump fully in. Close the pump door . W ater inlet filter If you notice that the machine is taking longer to fill, check that the filter in the water inlet hose is not blocked.
32 Cleaning and maintenance Emer gency emptying out If the water is not dischar ged, pr oceed as follows to empty out the machine: pull out the plug fr om the power socket; close the water tap; if nec.
Something not working? If during the spin cycle the machine makes an unusual whistling noise, differ ent fr om the noise made by tr adi- tional washing machines, this is due to a new type of motor . If water is not visible in the drum, this is due to the mod- ern technology of new washing machines that use less water than tr aditional machines.

Installation Unpacking All tr ansit bolts and packing must be r emoved befor e using the appli- ance. After r emoving all the packaging, car efully lay machine on it’ s back to r emove the poly- styr ene base fr om the bottom. Remove the power supply cable and the dr aining hose fr om the hose holder s on the r ear of the appliance.
Fill the smaller upper hole and the two lar ge ones with the corr esponding plastic plug caps supplied in the bag containing the instruction booklet. Important! All the differ ent plug caps ar e supplied with the appliance in the plastic bag containing the instruction booklet.
• This appliance must be connected to a cold water supply . 1. Open the porthole and extr act the inlet hose. 2. Connect the hose with the angled connection to the machine. Important! Do not place the inlet hose downwar ds . Angle the hose to the left or right depending on the position of your water tap.
