This is why we supply this pr oduct with a quick installation guide to reduce the number of paper (pages) and therefor save tr ees to be cut for making this paper .
3 3.2 Handset & Base Connection • When purchased, all handsets are alr eady register ed to the base unit and should link to it when they are all powered up. • T o use your cordless handset and base unit together , you must be able to establish a radio link between them.

5 5.2 Display Icons and Symbols (SeeP2) Icon Meaning Displays when the battery is almost empty Displays when the battery is fully charged. Blinks when the battery level is low . Displays when the line is in use. Blinks when there is an incoming call. Displays when you have new voicemail messages*.
6 UK 5.5 T ext and Number Entry The following table shows you where each letter and punctuation character can be found, by using repeated pr esses of the alphanumeric keypad. This will be helpful when storing a name in the phonebook or renaming your handset.
7 7.1.4 Call from the Call Log • Press in standby mode. • Press to select the desired entry in the call log and then pr ess to dial out the selected call log number . Note: Y ou need to subscribe to Caller Line Identification service to be able to see the caller’ s number or name in the call log.
8 UK Note: Y ou can switch the handset off to save battery life, if the handset is not on the base or a charger pod and you do not want to use it for a while. IMPORT ANT : When the handset is OFF , it cannot be used for making calls including emergency calls.
9 Note: If there is no answer fr om the called handset, or you wish to cancel the intercom call befor e it is answered, press to return to the external call. • Press on the called handset to answer the internal call, where both internal callers can talk.
10 UK > “DELETE?” is displayed. • Press again to confirm. > A confirmation tone is played. • Press to return to standby mode. 9 PHONEBOOK Y our phone can store up to 100 phonebook entries, which can be saved and viewed by any handset register ed to the base, although only one handset can access it at a time.
11 • Press to return to standby mode. 9.4 Delete a Phonebook Entry • From the home screen, pr ess . • Press again to select “PHONEBOOK”. • Press to “DELETE” and then press to select. • Press to select an entry you wish to delete and then press .

13 12 CLOCK AND ALARM SETTINGS 12.1 Date and Time Settings If you have subscribed to Calling Line Identification (CLI) service, the time and date settings will be automatically updated by the network when you receive an incoming call. Y ou can also set the date and time manually .
14 UK “OFF”: T urn alarm off “ON ONCE”: The alarm sounds once at the set time. “ON DAIL Y”: The alarm sounds daily at the set time. • Press to select the option. • If “ON ONCE” or “ON DAIL Y” is selected, enter the desired hour and minute.
15 • Press to “PERSONAL SET” and then press to select. • Press to “HANDSET TONE” and then press to select. • Press to “KEY BEEP” and then press to select. • Press to select “ON” or “OFF” and then press to confirm.
16 UK 14.2 Register Additional Handsets • Press and hold the key under the base unit for approximately 5 seconds. > The message indicator on the base will flash for up to 1 minute, while it is in registration mode. • On the handset, press • Press to “ADV ANCED SET” and then pr ess to select.
17 > The last stored detect number is displayed (if any). • Enter the number you want to be detected (maximum 5 digits) and then press to confirm. > A confirmation tone is played. • Press to “PREFIX” and press to select. > The last stored pr efix number is displayed (if any).
18 UK 16 ANSWERING MACHINE (ONL Y FOR SOLO 15) Y our phone includes a telephone answering machine that recor ds unanswered calls when it is on. The answering machine can store up to 59 messages within the maximum r ecording time of approximately 30 minutes and each message can be up to 3 minutes long.
19 • Press to return to standby mode. Note: If you select “ECONOMY”, the answering machine will answer an incoming call on the fifth ring if you have no previous new messages and on the thir d ring if you do.

21 16.7 Remote Access The phone lets you listen to the messages on your answering machine, or otherwise operate your answering machine by calling in to your answering machine from another touch-tone phone. Y ou need to enter a remote access code (same as your Master PIN) to access your answering machine remotely .
22 UK • Check that the base unit’ s mains power adapter is plugged in and power is switched on. The base unit needs mains power for normal operation of the phone – not just for charging the batteries. • Move the handset closer to the base unit.
23 • Make sure that you have entered the corr ect number for the other handset. Batteries “The handset’ s battery cells are running low within an hour or two” • Before you first use the handset, you must leave it to charge on the base unit or char ging pod for at least 15 hours.
