6 Using Y our Radio Auto Squelch/Maximum Range • Y our microT ALK radio is equipped with Auto Squelch , which automatically shuts off weak transmissions and unwanted noise due to terrain and conditions. This slightly reduces the Maximum Range at which signals can be heard.
