Theory Of Op eration 63 CV Amplifier The CV amplifier controls the output of the power module w hen the module is operating in constant voltage mode. The CV amplifier consists of tw o stages: an error amplifier stage and a voltage monitor stage.
64 Thoery Of Operat ion Pulse-Width Modulator, FETS, and Isolation Transformer The pulse-w idth m odulator controls the FETS. The FETS are arranged in an "H" bridge config uration with the + and - dc rail at the top and bottom of the H.
Theory Of Op eration 65 OV Circuit The OV circuit consists of a com parator that com pares the output voltage of the module w ith an ov ervoltage reference signal and sh uts down the output w hen the ou tput of the supply exceeds the overv oltage reference level.
