Working with camera RAW photos 75 W orking with camera RA W photos Most DSLR cameras give you the option to take photos in RA W mode. RAW mode records more image data than a typical JPEG. The RAW image data itself remains unc ompromised and unc ompressed, making it similar to a photo negative that you can print as yo u like.

Adjusting images 79 Adjusting images When you view your p hotos in Corel P aintShop Pro, you may notice problems that you want to c orrect. In some photos, the proble ms are obvious, such as whe n the subject is too dark. In o ther photos, you may sense the need for im provement but not know what to fix.
80 Corel PaintShop Pro X6 User Guide Rotating images Y ou can rotate an image by 90 degr ees to change its orientation to landscape (horizon tal) or portrait (vertical) . If your camera contains sensors that tag ph otos taken in portrait orientation, your photo s are automatically rotated to the correct orientation.
Adjusting images 81 You can also rotate an image by clicking the Rotate Right or Rotate Left button on the Standard tool bar. If you want to change the center of rotation befo re you interactively ro tate the image , hold down Ctrl , and drag th e rotation pivot point (the circle at the center of the image) to a new position.

Cropping perm anentl y removes the image area outside the crop rectangle. To preserve th e original photo, use the Sav e As command, and save the cropped ver sion of your image to a new filename.
