9 Know Y our Snow Thrower Choke Control Activati ng choke control by turni ng it all the way to the right c loses the choke plate on c arburetor and aids in s tarti ng engine. For informa- tion o n choke usage, see page 10 o f this man ual. The image above corres ponds wit h the label on th e engine ident ifying t he Choke control.
10 Operation Bef ore Star ting Engine Engine Oil The engi ne is shippe d with oil in it. Ch eck the oil level before firs t use. For subseque nt fill-ups, u se the grade of eng ine oil spec ified on page 1 4. T o add oil : 1 . Remove the dipst ick from the o il fill.

14 Maintenance & Service Drive Belt NOTE : T o replac e the Drive Belt , y ou m ust first follow Auger B elt instru ctions. Re place the dri v e b elt before reassem bling the new auger belt. 1 . Remove hairpin c lip and pivot rod from u nit. See Figure 15.
