7 3 Assembling Y our Tiller W ARNING Do not put y our fingers under the belt cov er . Maximum tire pressure under any circu mstances is 30 p.s.i. 8 Gear Selection Handle The gear sel ect ion hand le is lo cated in the c enter of the hand le on th e tiller . It is use d to selec t NEUTRAL , REVERSE, or one of the FORWARD mode. Pull or push the hand le so th at the indi cator on top of s hif t cover points to t he operat ing mod e desired .
9 4 Kno w Y our Tiller W ARNING Clutch Contr ol The clu tch co ntrol is lo cated beneat h the hand le. Squeezing t he clutc h contro l against t he handl e engage s the whee l and tine d rive mech anisms. NOT E : Never engage c lutc h lever while shif ting.
10 Setting The Depth Tilling d epth is c ontrol led by the de pth stake whic h can b e adjusted to fi ve different set tin gs. Adjust t he sid e shield s as you adjust t he depth s take. 11 6 Making A d j u s t m e n t s W ARNING Do not mo ve the gear selection handle with the wheels or tines engaged. Make cer tain the unit i s stopped completely before changing the gear selec tion. A partial engagem ent may be necessary when engaging ti nes.
