8 Mounti ng I nstruc tions Using the On - Wall bracket The SoloCinema XTR system was designed to w all - mount near your thin wall - mount ed television. A bracket has been provided to secure and install your sound bar on the w all. Note : DO NOT mount the sound bar directly to the w all.
9 Hang Sound bar on Posts: Li ne up t he bar so that the posts enter the center part of the + shaped chann els. Slide the bar dow n so the post heads hold the bar firmly in place . Using the L - Brac ket shel f suppo rts When to Use: Use these adjustable supports w hen placing the sound bar on a shel f below the TV.
10 A ttach shel f supports : Attach the shelf supports to the threaded holes in the back o f the sound bar, using the ¼ (20 x 12mm) screws provi ded. Be careful not to strip the threads. A djust : Set the height of the sc rews to achieve the desired an gle .
11 Connecti ng your s y stem There are thr ee options for c onnect ing your SoloCinema XTR system and sources to your television to create a gr eat - sounding audio - video system.
12 Connection Method #2 : A l l sources into your TV , with TOSLINK optical audio output from the TV set to SoloCinema XTR. In this method, connect your sou rces (Blu - Ray player, cable TV, etc.) into your TV set. C onnect a Toslink opt ical cable from the optical audio output of your TV into your SoloCinema XTR.
13 Connection M ethod #3 : A l l sources into your TV with analog output from the TV set to your SoloCinema XTR . Some older TV’s have onl y an anal og outpu t conn ection. I n this sc enari o, the TV does all the sw itching between so urces and the S oloCine ma XTR i s alway s set to INPUT #4.
14 Remote C ont rol The SoloCinema XTR’s remote control is an ergonomic tour - de - force that is as easy to navigate in the dark as in broad daylight, thanks to its tac tile, specially contoured buttons. Select sources, control volume, bass level , m ovie and music surround modes, all from your easy chair.

Cursor control / Enter butt on : Pressing this control’s four arrow keys, in conjunction with the EN TER button in the middle, allow s you to select and adjust menu items s uch as surround immersion level and other seldom used f unctions. The O SD pop - up menu con firms your selec tion temporarily .
16 Front Pa nel Control Func tions a nd D isp lay A control panel is located at the top - center of the SoloCinema XTR. It has a series of touch - sensitive buttons, with LED indi cator s above the buttons, for basic system control. The LED’ s also are visual indicators that inform you o f system status changes, as follow s: 1.
17 On- Screen Display (OSD) Set - up Menu F unc tions SoloCinema XTR comes out of the box ready to use. Most people w ill never have to access any of the following menu functions . But just in case , it is good to be f amiliar with t hem . Th e on screen menu and brief explanations are s hown below .
18 IR REPEA TER ON OFF 3. IR LE ARN : IR Learn is used to program SoloCinema XTR to respond to other remote controls: for example, your cable box or TV’s remote IR com m ands .

20 SSA I MMERSIO N MOVIE MODE MUSIC MO DE 6. SOURCE 4 I NPUT : The fourth source input acco mmodates either analog RCA inputs, or Toslink Digital in puts. By default, the system auto - detects betw een the digit al Toslink and RCA inputs. If a digital Toslink signal is present, it will be used.

22 Using Hi gh Speed HDM I C ables Our recommendation is to use Hi gh Speed HDMI cables w ith SoloCinema XTR . HDMI (Hig h - Definition Multimedia Interface) is a di gital alternative to analog connections between audio and video components.
23 Tips, Troubleshoot ing, Fre quentl y As ked Ques tions ( F AQ ) 1. Q. I just purchased this product, and a part i s missing. W hat should I do? Answer : You have sever al options. You can contact the dealer who sold y ou the product , or you can e - mail or call us.
24 8. Q. W here should I put the subwoofer? Answer : W e encourage subwoofer experimentation! Y our subwoofer and room interact to create the bass that y ou hear and feel. In general, placing the subwoofer along the wall, or in a corner, w ill reinforce the bass response and create a better listening experience.

26 IR Remot e Control Func tion and Da ta L ist SoloCinema XTR’s remote control codes are discrete IR (Infrared) codes . Custom installers may want to have acces s to the standard codes that enable the SoloCinema XTR’s remote functions to be programmed into a univ ersal controller.
