Utilities 4-1 Section 4 Utilities This section describes procedures for using utilities and updating fir mware depending on the oper ating system used. See Appendix B f or detailed configuration procedures f or WinDGS using Windows 95 or Windows 98.
Utilities 4-2 The link test tool helps deter mine the RF network cov erage . The results of the link test will help eliminate low RF signal le v el areas that can result in loss of connection between the PC Card and the Aironet Access P oint. It is impor tant to remember the information being displa y ed is from the Aironet Access P oint viewpoint.
Utilities 4-3 8. Star t a telnet session on the mobile station to the Aironet Access P oint. Depending on the system in use, the telnet application ma y hav e logging and note taking capability . If so , enable these modes . 9. Na vigate through the Aironet Access P oint menu to the link test option.

The combined result is represented b y a diagonal line. The Aironet Access P oint associat- ing with the PC Card is indicated along the bottom of the displa y as well as its MA C address.
