In this mode you can activate, or arm, the system by pressing the button on your transmitter . When the system arms, you will hear a short horn honk and see the parking lights flash once.
6 © 2008 Directed Electronics All rights reserved Silent mode T o temporarily turn off the arm or disarm honkss, use Silent Mode™. Press for less than one second before arming or disarming, and the confirmation honks will be eliminated for that one operation only .
7 © 2008 Directed Electronics All rights reserved sive response gives you time to disarm the system with your transmitter if you inadvertently open the door while the sys- tem is armed, while still providing instant r esponse (even if the door is immediately closed).
8 © 2008 Directed Electronics All rights reserved Open the door and the alarm sounds. T ur n the ignition to the “run” position. Press and r elease the integrated LED/V alet button, within 10 seconds. After a few seconds the LED stops flashing, the alarm shuts off, and the vehicle starts.
9 © 2008 Directed Electronics All rights reserved V alet mode Y ou can prevent your system from arming, by using V alet Mode. This is very useful when washing the vehicle or having it serviced. In V alet Mode, the system will not arm, even with the transmitter , but all con- venience functions (door locks, trunk release, etc.
10 © 2008 Directed Electronics All rights reserved Panic mode If you are thr eatened in or near your vehicle, you can attract attention by triggering the system with your transmitter . Just press for two seconds to enter Panic Mode. In Panic Mode, the horn will honk and the parking lights will flash for 30 seconds.
11 © 2008 Directed Electronics All rights reserved Long term event histor y The system stores the last two alarm triggers in memory and can be dis- played by: With the ignition off, press and hold the integrated LED/V alet button. While holding the integrated LED/V alet button, tur n the ignition on.
12 © 2008 Directed Electronics All rights reserved The LED will flash in two groupings r epresenting the last 2 zones trig- gered. For example, if zone 2 and 3 wer e the last two triggered, the LED would flash two times followed by a pause then it would flash three times followed by a pause.

Diagnostics The micropr ocessor at the heart of your system is constantly monitor- ing all of the switches and sensors connected to it. It detects any faulty switches and sensors and prevents them fr om disabling the entire sys- tem.
14 © 2008 Directed Electronics All rights reserved the light goes out, however , the doors are monitored normally 3-sec- onds later . Disarming diagnostics Extra disarm horn honks are the tamper alert. If four short horn honks are hear d when disarming, the system was triggered in your absence.
