The extended use of a high powered audio system may result in hearing loss or damage. While TUBE DRIVER systems are capable of "Concer t Le vel" volumes with incredible accuracy , they are also designed for you to enjoy at more reasonable levels all of the sonic subtleties created by musicians.
1 Power Bandwidth: 5 Hz -50 KHz T otal Harmonic Distortion: 0.2% or less (A-weighted) Input T opology: Balanced Differential Input Sensitivity: 500mV - 12 volts RMS Input Impedance: 10K Ohms Output Impedance: 2 - 16 Ohms, bridged 4 - 32 Ohms Specifications The TD2200PRO and TD225A amplifiers represent a radical new approach to mobile audio.
Fuse Requirements Recommended Fuse Rating f o r TD2200 i s 100 Amps Recommended Fuse Rating f o r TD225A is 10 0 Amps Y ou will need to install an in-line fuse or cir cuit breaker in the power wire within 18” of the battery . This fuse or circuit breaker pr otects your vehic le fr om fire in case the power wire shorts to the vehic le body .
Recommended MINIMUM Gauge 3 W arning! Amplifiers Generate Heat! Y ou can mount the TU B E D RIVER in any position, even upside-down. However , you m ust maintain pr oper airflo w . Do not install your TU B E D RIVER under carpets or enclose it behind airtight panels.
4 W arning! T o prevent a short to ground, disconnect the negative (-) terminal of the system’s battery before you begin. If the power cable shorts to ground, current will continue to flow until the short is opened, the main fuse blows, the battery explodes, or the wire melts.
5 Follow these simple instructions and ref er to the diagram belo w to make your speaker connections: • Using at least 16 gauge wire, run wire from the speakers to the amplifier(s) using the same pr.
6 Mixed Mono Output All multi-channel T UBE D RIVERS are capable of being bridged into a 4- Ohm mono output without switches or bridging modules. Y ou can achieve this mono channel by using the left positive (+) speaker connection and the right negative (-) speaker connection.
Input Jac ks Y our TU B E D RIVER includes both RCA and Mini-DIN (balanced) inputs. The supplied RCA connections allow you to use TU B E D RIVER with other brands of audio gear . Our Diff erential RCA inputs provide a dramatic impro v ement in noise reduction o ver standard RCA input types .
8 Input Gain Contr ol There is an Input Gain Control located on the end panel under the RCA input jacks. This is not a v olume contr ol! This control matches the output signal voltage of the source unit to the amplifier inputs.

11 No Sound Amplifier T urning Down at Normal V olume Do you have 12V at the amplifier ’s connections? Is the W ARM UP LED illuminated? YES NO YES The warm up cycle can take up to 40 sec., Is there sound after that? Y ou’re done Is there signal on the RCA ’s? YES NO Does the amp remote (REM) have 12V? Check all connections.
12 No Sound in One Channel Amplifier T urning D o w n at High V olume YES Reverse the left and right inputs. Check the pre-amp (RCA/Mini-Din) cables for open connections and make corrections. Did you find open connections? NO Y ou’re done SOUND IS NO W IN.
13 Noises While the Engine is On Alternator whine: This noise changes in frequency with engine RPM. Check for: . Excessive input level . High resistance in cabling or corr oded and/or loose connections . P olarity of the input cables If the problem persists, check the whines and pops checklist below .
14 Noises While the Engine is On or Off System hiss: Distor tion: System hiss is a white noise that occurs even when the engine is of f. It is usually due to excessively high gain settings. If the hiss is still audible when you disconnect the input cables from the amplifier , check the input level on the amplifier .
