Th e spark arrestor screen pr events hot, glowing particles of carbon from leaving th e muffler.

Continuous low speed operation may allow f uel/oil residue to build-up on the piston and cause rapid build-up of carbon on the spark a rrestor screen, resulting in overheating and engine damage.

22 X7501183702 © 03/2013 ECHO Inc. MAINTENANCE PB-265LN 4. Inspect heat shield, and replace if dama ged. 5. Install heat shield and muffler. 6. Tighten muffler mounting bolts (or nuts) to 60-70 in•lbf (70-80 kgf•cm). 7. Install engine cover and attach spa rk plug lead.
