SW ITCH THE COMPUTER O FF , remove the co ver and insert t he wireless network ca rd into an em pty PCI slot of y our com puter and then replace the cover .

8 Y ou can install t he W ireless Adapter by EZMAX Set up W i zard in the CD -ROM including in the package. The wizard is an easy and quick configuration tool for internet connection with serie s process. When you start EZMAX Setup W izard, you will get the fol lowing welco me screen.
9 4. Insert d evice driver C DROM into the CD/DVD ROM drive of your computer , a nd execute „ Setup.exe ‟ program . Pleas e read the end u ser license agreem ent and clic k „ I accept the term s of the license agreement ‟ then click „ Next ‟ but ton, to accept lice ns e agreem ent.
10 6. Y ou can choose the conf iguration tool use d to configure t h e wireless network car d here. It ‟ s recommended t o select „ Ralink Conf iguration T ool ‟ , which provides fully access to all functions o f this wirele ss network car d.
11 8. Plea se wait while t h e install proc edure is running. When you see this message, plea se click „ Finish ‟ to complete the driver i n stallation process.
12 9. After i nstallation is com plete, wireless configura tion utility will be shown in the de sktop of your computer autom atically . Y ou will also see an icon at th e lower-r ight corner of your w indows system . If you put the m o use cursor on the ic on, the status of wireless card will be displayed as a p o pup balloon.

14 2- 2 Usin g the W i reless Config uration Utility There are two way s you can configure y o ur wireless networ k card to connect to wi reless access p oint: using the Edimax configurati on utility and using built-in w indows zero c onfiguration utility .
15 2-2-1 Using Edim ax Utility Please follow t he following instructions t o use Edim ax configuration utility to conn ect to wireles s access point. 1. Righ t-click the Edimax c onfiguration utility icon l ocated at lower -right cor ner of com pu ter desktop and then clic ks „ Launch Config Utility ‟ .
16 Y ou can clic k „ More / Less ‟ butt on again, and se t up utility w i ndow will resum e to its original size. T ip: If a setup item r equir es m or e information to c o mplete the setup pr ocedur e, the setup utility window will ex pand automat ically .
17 2-2-1-1 Scan for Ot her W ireless Devices There are two kinds of w ireless connecti on m ode: Infrastructure and Ad -Hoc. Infrastruct ure mode is u sed by w ireless access points, which is able to establi sh wireless connect ion for y ou and other wirele ss / wired network clie nts.

22 2-2-1-2 Connect to an Access Point If the wireless ac cess point you wish to connect is found, you ca n establish connec t ion with it by cli cking „ Connect ‟ button. Instructions will be give n as follo w: 1. Click t he wireless acc ess point or n etwork devic e you wish t o connect, it will be hig h lighted, then c l ick „ Connect ‟ .
23 3. If the w i reless access point uses encryption , you will be prompted t o input its WEP key or WP A preshared key ..
24 4. Plea se ask the own er of the wireless acce s s point you wan t to connect, and input the c orrect key here and then click „ OK ‟ . By checking „ Show Passwor d ‟ box, the encry ption key you inp utted here wi ll be displayed. If the value y ou inputted her e is wrong, you will not be a ble to conne ct to this wire less access point.

26 2-2-1-3 Add an Access Point to Pr ofile If you will co nnect to som e specific wireless access p oint freque nt ly , you can add their inform a tion to the profile. Just like the te lephone di rectory , the profile sa v es all inform ation of access points, and y ou can recall them anytim e you wish to estab lish connectio n .

38 2-3 Profile Ma nagement If you need t o connect to dif ferent wireless access points at dif ferent time, like of acces s point of y ou r home, of fice, cybercafe, or public w ireless service, y ou can store the co n nection para meters (encryption, passphrase, security etc, etc.
39 2-3-1 Add a profile If you want to click new profile, click „ Profile ‟ menu, then click „ Add ‟ button. Y ou ‟ ll be pr om p ted to input detaile d inform at ion of access point, as described i n Section 2-2-1- 3.
40 2-3-2 Edit an ex i sting profi le If you have adde d a profile bef ore, and you w i sh to change t he content of the profile, y ou can use this f u nction.
