1 1. Product Introduction Thank you for purchasing nMAX Wireless LAN USB Adapt e r . This USB adapter is de signed to comply with IEEE 802.1 1b/g/n draft 2.0 Wireless LAN standard and easy to carry with the Mini size. It is suitable for any Laptop or Desktop comput ers.
2 3. Hardware Inst allation Please follow the following instructions to inst all your new USB Wireless LAN Adapter: Step 1. Please insert the USB Wirele ss LAN Adapter into an available USB 2.0 port of your computer . Y ou can insert the card when the computer is powe r off or on.
3 If your operation system in Windows 2000/XP/XP64, the followi ng message will appear o n your computer , click ‘Cancel’ ..
4 4. Setup W izard This wizard can be run in Windows 20 00/XP/XP64/Vist a. The following procedures ar e operated in Windows Vis ta. 1. Insert the CD shipped along with the product in to your CD-ROM dri ve. The Wind ows Vist a will popup AutoPlay window , Please select “Inst all or run program ” to execute Autorun.
5 3. Please read the end user license agree ment and click ‘Y es’ to accept license a greement. 4. Please click ‘inst all’ to run the driver installation process. If you see ‘Found New Hard ware’ message again, please ignore it and w ait. .
6 5. When you see this message, plea se click ‘Finis h’ to complete the driver install ation process..
7 The following procedures are operated in Windows 200 0/XP/XP64. 1. Insert device driver CDROM into the CD/DVD ROM drive of y our computer , the following screen will be displayed. Click “Setup Util it y” to run the setup wizard. 2. Please read the end user license agree ment and click ‘Y es’ to accept license a greement.
8 3. Y ou can choose the configuration tool used to config ure the wireless netwo rk card here. It’ s recommended to select ‘Edimax Configuration T ool’, which provides fu lly access to all function of this wirel ess network card.
9 5. Please click ‘inst all’ to run the driver installation process..
10 6. Please wait while the install procedu re is running. When you see this message, please cli ck ‘Finish’ to complete the driver inst allation process. 7. A new icon will appear at lower-right corn er of your computer deskt op, you can put the mouse cursor on the icon, and the status of wireless card will be di sp layed as a popup balloon.
11 8. When you want to configure your wi reless connec tion, please right click on this icon, and a popup menu will appear . Y ou can click ‘Laun ch Config Utilities’ to start configuration program. If you want to close configurat ion utility , please click ‘Exit’.
12 5. Connect to Wireless Access Point Using Configuration Ut ility to Connect to Wi reless Access Point 1. After inst allation is complete, wireless configuration utility will be shown as an i con at the lower-right corner of your windows desktop. Please click t he icon by right mouse key , and select ‘Launch Confi g Utilities’ 2.
