5 Safety during use • Remove stickers and film fr om the glass ceramic. • There is the risk of burns fr om the appliance if used carelessly . • Cables from electrical appliances must not touch t he hot surface of the appliance or hot cookware. • Overheated fat and oil can ignite qu ickly .

7 T ouch Control sensor fields The appliance is operated using T ouc h Control sensor fields. Functions are controll ed by touching sensor fi elds and confirmed by displays and acoustic signals. Touch the sensor fields fr om abov e, without covering other sensor fields.
8 Displays Residual heat indicator 1 War ni ng ! Risk of burns from r esidual he at. After being switched off, the cooking zones need some time to cool down. Look at the r esidual heat indicator h . 3 Residual heat can be used for melting and keeping food warm.
9 Oper ating the appliance 3 Use the induction cooking zone s with suitable cookware. Switching the appliance on and off 3 After switching on, within appr ox. 1 0 seconds a heat setting or a func- tion must be set, otherwise the appl iance automatically switches itself off.
10 Switching the ST OP+GO function on and off The STOP+GO function simu ltaneously switches all cooking zones that are switched on to the keep warm setting and then back to the heat setting that was pr eviously set. This function can be used to briefly in- terrupt and then continue the cookin g pr ocess e.
11 The length of time that the automatic warm up function oper ates de- pends on the heat setting selected. Locking/unlocking the contr ol panel The control panel, with the exception of the “On/Off” sensor field, can be locked at any time in order to prevent the settings being changed e.
12 Using the child safety device The child safety device prevents unintentional use of the app liance. 13 Switching the power function on and off The power function makes more power available to the induction cooking zones, e.g. to bring a lar ge quantity of water to the boil quick- ly . The power function is activated for 1 0 minutes. After that the induc- tion cooking zone automatically sw itches back to heat setting 9.
14 Using the timer All cooking zones can use each use one of the two timer functions at the same time. 3 If a cooking zone is switched off, th e timer function set is also switched off. 3 If a heat setting is set on this cook ing zone in addition to a countdown timer , the cooking zone is switched off after the time set has elapsed.

17 Safety cut-out Cooking surface • If after switching on the cooking surf ace, a heat setting is not set for a cooking zone within approx. 1 0 seconds, the cooking surface auto- matically switches itself off. • If one or more sensor fields ar e cover ed for longer than approx.
18 Tips on cooking and frying 3 Information about acrylamides According to the latest scientific r esearch, inte nsive browning of food, especially in products containing st ar ch, may present a health risk due to acrylamide. Therefor e we recomm end cooking at low temperatur es and not browning foods too much.
19 Pan si ze Induction cooking zones adapt automa tically to the size of the cook- ware bottom up to a certain limit. However the magnetic part of the cookware bottom must have a mini mum diameter depending upon the size of the cooking zone. 3 The cookware must be placed centr ally on the cooking zone.
20 Examples of cooking applications The information given in the following table is for guidance only . The power function is suitable for heating large quantities of liquid.
21 Cleaning and car e 1 Tak e c are ! Risk of burns from r esidual heat. 1 Important Sharp objects and abrasive clea ning materials will damage the appliance. Clean with water and washing up liquid. 1 Important Residues from cleaning agents will damage the appliance.

24 Disposal 2 Packaging material The packaging materials are envir onmentally friendly and can be r ecy- cled. The plastic components are id entified by markings, e.g. >PE<, >PS<, etc. Please dispose of the pa ckaging materials in the appropriate container at your local waste disposal facilities.
25 Installation Instructions Safety instructions The laws, or dinances, directives and st and ard s i n f orc e in th e c oun tr y o f use are to be followed (safety r egula tions, proper r ecycling in accord- ance with the regulations, etc.) Installation may only be carrie d out by a qualified electrician.
26 A device must be provided in the elec trical installation w hich allows the appliance to be disconnected fr om th e mains at all poles with a contact opening width of at least 3 mm Suitable isolation devices include line pr otecting cut-outs, fuses (scr ew type fuses are to be r emoved from the holder), earth leakage trips and contactors.
27 Sticking on the seal • Clean the worktop in the area of the cut-out section. • Stick the one-sided self -adhesive sealing tape supplied all the way round the lower edge of the cookin g surface along the outer edge of the glass ceramic panel. Do not str e tch it.
