OPERA TION 2.5 Drawbar-Pull T ype Mower For equipment op erating at 540 RPM, the tractor drawbar must be position ed at a 14” distance from the hitch point to th e PTO sha ft end for proper operation and minimal wear to the driveline.

Using the 3-point hitch control lever , position the front of the mower with it s side skids 1” less off the ground than desired cut height.

Extend the tr actor ’s top 3-point link so that when lifting the mower , the front of the deck will raise 2 to 2½” before the tail wheel(s) leaves the ground. Th is will allow the mower to follow the contour of uneven terrain.

OPERA TION 8.1 Constant V elocity (CV) Driveline For mowers equipped with a Co nst ant V elocity (CV) dr iveline, the maximum turning angle betwe en the tr actor and mower must be determined to ensure the joint angle does not over-extend which can cause CV joint damage.
