2 Getting started .................... 2.1 Set-up Inserting and removing the SIM car d (1) Y ou must insert your SIM card to mak e phone calls. 17 Unclip the cover , then remove the battery . 3 Calls .................................... 3.1 Making a call Dial the desired number then pr ess the ke y to place the call. If you make a mistak e, you can delete the incorrect digits by pressing the right softke y . T o hang up the call, press the ke y .
If the access number for your operator’ s voicemail service does not work, dial the number that you w ere given.T o change this number at a later date , refer to “ My numbers ” (see page 28). T o use your voicemail service from abroad, contact your network operator before lea ving.
3.4 During the call Available functions During a call, you can use your directory , your diar y , shor t messages, etc . without losing your corr espondent by pressing the key .
Adjusting the volume Y ou can adjust the sound lev el during a call using the ke y or the side ke ys. Handling two calls • Answering a second call (Ensur e that “ Call waiting ” is activated, see page 29). • T o call a second par ty during a call, dial the number directly .
3.6 Line switching (1) Y our SIM card can contain tw o distinct telephone numbers. Under “ Call log ”, choose “ Line switching ” and then select a default line; all your outgoing calls will be made from this n umber . Incoming calls, howev er , will continue to use the two lines.

5 Call log ............................ 5.1 Call memory Y ou can access your call memory by pressing the key from the main screen. Choose the icon of the desired list: Unanswer ed calls Outgoing calls.
5.3 Billing Y ou can access differ ent items with this option: Account • Y ou can view the total cost of charged calls, modify it or reset it and enter the cost of a T elecom Unit in the currency of y our choice. Duration • Y ou can view the total duration of all outgoing calls or reset it.
5.4.2 Call forwarding Y ou can activate, cancel or verify the status of the call forwarding to the voicemail or to a specified number . The f ollowing configurations are possible: • Unconditional: systematic forwarding of all your calls. The icon is display ed.
5.4.4 Line switching (1) Line switch between line 1 and line 2. 5.4.5 Auto redial Y ou can activate or deactivate the automatic callback of your party for calls that do not get through the first time.

Searching for a name b y its first letter Y ou can search f or the person’ s name by pressing the k ey associated with the first letter of his/her name. Read a file Select a name from y our directory , then press to read the file. Sending Vcard via Bluetooth Selecting the Vcard you wish to transfer (" OptionsSend vCardBy Bluetooth ").
6.2 Creating a file Select the directory in which you wish to create a file, press the " Options " softke y , select " Create file " then .
Delete all • Delete all the files in the current directory . Copy all • Copy the whole dir ectory to the SIM or General directory only if there is sufficient memory . Send vCard • Exchange data via MMS or Bluetooth (see page 49). Settings • More information and setting.
7 Messag es .......................... Y ou can create, edit and receive SMS and MMS with this cellphone. MMS is a message whereby y ou can send video clips, images, photos, animations and sounds to other compatible mobiles and e-mail addresses.
Y ou can sa ve your messages that y ou send often to Drafts or T emplates . An SMS message of more than 160 characters (the number of characters depends on the languages you writing in) will be charged as several SMS. An MMS message containing photos and/or sounds may also be billed as mor e than one message.

From the main scr een, select the icon menu and select the function of your choice in order to customise y our telephone. 8.1 Ringtones 8.1.1 Available functions T o modify the sound settings, select an option using the ke y: Select a melody from the list using the ke y then confirm by pressing (see page 67).
8.1.2 Mode Y ou ma y set your phone ringtone to Normal, Discreet (ring with beep), Vibrate (all sounds are replaced b y vibrations except for alarms), Vibrate and ring,Vibrate then ring, Beep and vibrate, Silence (no sounds except for alarms, the icon will be display ed).
8.4 Theme The “ Theme ” menu allows you to customise y our telephone to suit your own taste. Y ou can modify several customizable items at the same time. When using the telephone for the first time, a default “ Theme ” is activated. Even if you choose a Theme, you can still modify the elements in it one by one.
8.7 Displa y 8.7.1 Main screen The main screen is displa yed when you s witch on your telephone. Y ou can access the main functions from the main scr een either with the navigation k ey or by pr essing and by selecting the icons displayed on the screen (1) .
8.7.3 P o wer On/Off (1) Y ou can customise your w elcome animation or image that appears when you switch on y our phone. Y ou can also customise your OFF scr een with an image or animation. 8.7.4 Menu displa y Board • All the main menu icons displa yed on one screen.
8.9.2 K eypad By customising your k eys, you can call someone or access a function directly fr om the main screen. T o programme a key on y our keypad, select “ Ke ypad ” and choose the key that you wish to pr ogramme. -“ Speed dial ”: activate this option to programme numbers with contacts.

12 Media album ................ Y ou will ha ve an access to all audio and visual files stored in phone or memory card in Media Album. 12.1 My audios Choose an audio for the ON/OFF screen, for an incoming call, a message alert, power on/off ringtone or an alarm and scheduler .
12.2 My images Y ou can select an image or a photo as main screen or the ON/OFF scr een. Y ou ma y also change it, send it by MMS or Bluetooth or assign it to a contact in the directory .
Thumbnails are displa yed for pr eview . In addition, you can use “ Mark ” function, to select multiple files. 12.6 Memory card Y ou will ha ve access to all files stored in memory card here. When a memory card is inserted for the first time , it will be scanned and the default folders will be created.
12.7 Managing audios, images, videos and creations According to the item chosen, you can access some of the functions below: View • View the selected image. If you want to view all the pictures in your f older in a slideshow hold down on the current pictur e.
