4 OPERA TION Bef ore using Remov e all secur ing tapes. W ash inside the appliance with luke war m water and bicarbonate of soda (5 ml to 0.5 litre of water).
5 T emperature indication In normal conditions, the display indicates the freez er temperature (symbol 2). Each time ke y C is pressed, the display indicates in sequence: 1. symbol 1 tur ns on and indicator 4 shows the temperature of the fridge compar tment; 2.
Normal Operating Sounds • Y ou ma y hear f aint gurgling or bub bling sounds when the refrigerant is pumped through the coils or tubing at the rear , to the cooling plate/e vaporator . • When the compressor is on, the refrigerant is being pumped round, and you will hear a whirring sound or pulsating noise from the compressor .
7 Fr ozen food storage When you first start the freezer or if the freezer has been out of use f or some time, we advise you to run your appliance f or at least 24 hours in the «fast freeze» mode bef ore storing frozen food. Do not e xceed the storage per iod indicated by the manuf acturer .
P ositioning the door shelves T o per mit storage of food pac kages of various sizes , the door shelves can be adjusted in height.T o make these adjustments proceed as f ollows: Gradually pull the shelf in the direction of the arrows until it comes off , then reposition as required.
9 Food Storage • T o obtain the best results from your appliance, neither hot f oods nor liquids which may e vaporate, should be placed in the larder compar tment. • K eep the time between buying chilled f ood and placing it in your fridge as shor t as possible .
10 Defr osting Refrigerator The refrigerator automatically defrosts ev er y time the compressor stops. The water is discharged, via the pipe, into a tra y located at the back of the appliance abov e the compressor , where it ev aporates.

18 Fit the appliance in the niche by making sure that it stands against the interior surface of the unit on the opposite side where the door hinges of the appliances are fitted. Inser t the appliance until the upper strip butts up against the unit (1) and make sure that the lower hinge is in line with the surf ace of the unit (2).
19 Place guide (Ha) on the inside par t of the fur niture door , up and down as shown in the figure and mark the position of e xter nal holes. After having drilled holes, fix the guide with the scre ws supplied. 2 1 m m 2 1 m m ca. 50 mm 90° 90° ca.
20 After completion of the door rever sing operation, chec k that the door gasket adheres to the cabinet. If the ambient temperature is cold (i.e . in Winter), the gasket may not fit perfectl y to the cabinet.
