3 IMPORT ANT SAFETY INSTRUCTIONS These warnings are provided in the interests of your safety . Ensure that you understand them all before installing or using this appliance as your safety is of paramount importance. Prior to Installation ■ Check the appliance for transport damage.
4 ■ When unplugging always pull the plug from the mains socket, do not pull on the cable. Servicing ■ This product should be serviced by an authorised engineer and only genuine spare parts should be used. ■ Under no circumstances should you attempt to repair the appliance yourself.
5 OPERA TION S min max Freezer controls Start your appliance Insert the plug into the wall socket. The pilot light ➂ will light up to show that the appliance is on. T emperature control The temperature within the freezer is controlled by the thermostat situated at the top of the cabinet ➄ .
6 Once the food is completely frozen (which could take up to 24 hours) return the fast freeze switch to the «OFF» position; the yellow light ➁ goes out. Distribute the frozen food packages in the other compartments, so that the top compartment can be used for a further freezing operation.
7 Because of consumer demand, preservatives have been removed from many pre-prepared foods. This together with the changes in shopping habits to a once-a-week shop, mean that safe handling and storage of food is even more important than ever .
8 The freezer compartment will become progressively covered with frost. This should be removed with the special plastic scraper provided, whenever the thickness of the frost exceeds 1/4". During this operation it is not necessary to switch off the power supply or to remove the foodstuffs.
9 Before any maintenance or cleaning work is carried out, DISCONNECT the appliance from the ELECTRICITY supply . Internal cleaning Clean the inside and accessories with warm water and bicarbonate of soda (5ml to 0.5 litre of water). Rinse and dry thoroughly .
10 SOMETHING NOT WORKING? If after the above checks, there is still a fault, call Expert Appliance Care. In-guarantee customers should ensure that the above checks have been made as the engineer will make a charge if the fault is not a mechanical or electrical breakdown.

12 Door reversal Before carrying out the operations described below , pull out the mains plug from the wall socket. Carry out door reversal as follows: 1. Gently lay the appliance on its back with the top held away from the floor by 5-8 cm (2-3 inches) of packing.
13 ELECTRICAL CONNECTION W ARNING: THIS APPLIANCE MUST BE EARTHED. The manufacturer declines any liability should this safety measure not be observed. If the plug that is fitted to your appliance is not suitable for your socket outlet, it must be cut off and the appropriate plug fitted.
