4 OPERA TION Bef ore using Remov e all secur ing tapes. W ash inside the appliance with luke war m water and bicarbonate of soda (5 ml to 0.5 litre of water).
5 Normal Operating Sounds • Y ou ma y hear f aint gurgling or b ubb ling sounds when the refrigerant is pumped through the coils or tubing at the rear , to the cooling plate/e v aporator or to the fix ed freezer shelv es.
6 • K eep the time between buying chilled f ood and placing it in your fridge as shor t as possible . T ests showed that the temper ature of 1 litre of orange juice rose to 22°C in an hour between the super market and home. It then took 11 hours to get down to 7°C in the refrigerator .
7 Defr osting When the frost has reached a thickness of up to 4mm it can be remov ed using the ice scraper provided with the appliance . Dur ing this operation it is not necessar y to disconnect the appliance from the mains and remov e the food. Nev er use metal tools f or this operation.
