8 818 22 49-00/6 Befor e Use Pa ck ag in g 0 1. Remove all adhesive tape and packaging from the interior of the appli- ance. 3 Any r emnants of adhesive can be r emoved with white spirit. 2. Remove the transport pr otection pieces and pull off the adhesive tape.
818 22 49-00/6 9 Fitting the Door Handles 1 Caution! Do not use excessive for ce and overtighten the screws (max. 2 Nm) as you may damage the door handles. 0 1. Screw the top handle br acket to the handle rod (1). Fit the bottom han- dle bracket on the lower left-hand side of the door (2).
Installation 10 818 22 49-00/6 The following table shows which ambient temperatur e is correct for each climate classification: The Refriger ator needs Ventilation Air is fed under the door thr ough the vent slots in the base and is exhausted upwards along the back wall.

12 818 22 49-00/6 Reversing the Door The door hinges can be changed from right (as supplied) to left if requir ed to suit the location wh ere the appliance is installed. 1 War n in g! Unplug from the mains befor e rever sing the door . 0 1. Open the door and remove the plinth cover to the fr ont.

Remove the door fitting on the lower right (1) and r eposition the door hinge bracket cover fr om the lower left to the right of the door (2), place the door fitting supplied in the lower left of the door (3). Carefully remove the door to the front and place on one side.
Reversing the Door 14 818 22 49-00/6 9. Unscrew the top handle br acket from the handle r od (1). Unscrew the bottom handle bracket from the door (2). 10. Unscrew the top handle bracket from the door (3) and scr ew onto the bottom right-hand side of the door (4).

818 22 49-00/6 17 T emperatur e Display The temperatur e display can indicate sever al pieces of information. • During normal operation, the temperatur e currently pr esent in the refriger ator (ACTUAL temperatur e) is displayed.
18 818 22 49-00/6 Initial Start-Up 0 1. Insert plug into mains socket. 2. Press ON/OFF button. 3. Set the refriger ator to the desired temper ature (see section: "T empera- ture Adjustment").
818 22 49-00/6 19 "Open Door" W arning If the fridge door is left open for longer than 5 minutes the red warn- ing display will flash and an acou stic warning tone will sound. If you need more time to load or r earrange refrigerated foods, you can switch off the warning tone by pr essing the WARNING OFF button.
20 818 22 49-00/6 Interior Fittings Stor age Shelves The shelf in the lowest runner s ov er the fruit and vegetable dr awer must always remain in this position, so that fruit and vegetables stay fresher for longer . The remaining stor age shelves can be adjusted to various heights: 0 1.
818 22 49-00/6 21 Bottle Rack Place bottles in the rack with the bottleneck to the fr ont. Important: Only store unopened bottles horizontally . The bottle rack can be tilted for storing opened bottles. 0 1. To do this pull the bottle rack for- ward until it can be tilted upwards, then slide the front sup- port into the next level up.
22 818 22 49-00/6 Pr oper Stor age For physical reasons, the r efrigerator compartment has differ ent temperatur e zones. The coldest zone is on the lowest storage shelf immediately above the fruit and vegetable drawers. W armer zones are the upper storage shelves and door racks.
818 22 49-00/6 23 Hints and Tips Normal Oper ating Sounds • Y ou may hear faint gurgling or bu bbling sounds when the r efrigerant is pumped through the coils or tu bing at the rear , to the cooling plate/evaporator .
24 818 22 49-00/6 Defr osting The Refriger ator is De frosted Automatically The electronics start the defr osting cy cle in the refriger ator every time the compressor stops.
Maintenance and Cleaning 818 22 49-00/6 25 2 Accumulation of dust at the condenser r educes cooling performance and increases ener gy consumption. Fo r this reason car efully clean the condenser at the back of the applianc e once a year with a soft brush or a vacuum cleaner .
