7 T ouch Contr ol sensor fields The appliance is operated using the T o uch Contr ol sensor fields. Functions are contr olled by touching sensor fields and confirmed by displays. T ouch the sensor fields fr om above, without covering other sensor fields.
8 Operating the appliance Switching the appliance on and of f Selecting the cooking zone 3 The decimal point is displayed by the selected cooking zone. Then a heat setting must be set for this cooking zone within 6 seconds, otherwise it must be re -selected.
9 Using the child safety device The child safety device pr events unintentional use of the appliance. 3 The child safety device can only be activated immediately aft er the appli- ance has been switched on.

11 Tips on cooking and frying 3 Information about acrylamides According to the latest scientific r esearch, intensive browning of food, espe- cially in product s containing starch, may pr esent a health risk due to acr yla- mide. Therefor e we r ecommend cooking at low te mperatures and not browning foods too much.
