3 BEFORE Y OU ST AR T (continued) W ARNING The brush in the cleaning head r otates at high speed and can cause damage to the mains supply cable if the c leaner passes over it during c leaning operations. Care should be taken to ensure that this does not happen.

How T o Assemble (continued) 7 Pull the electrical cord up to the cord retainer and firmly push down into retainer . This will keep the cord out of the wa y the ne xt time you v acuum. Wind the cord around the two cord hooks on the back of the v acuum.
How T o Use (continued) NO TE: While using accessories, do not place c leaner on furniture or steps as the brush roll ma y cause damage. Place c leaner on fl oor with the handle in storage position. 1. T o use accessories remov e hose from hose retainer in hood of cleaner by lifting up and twisting.
Rountine Maintenance (continued) Installing New Dustba g Ref: E82 F old dustbag fl aps of ne w bag back and slide into unit. Make sure inlet goes into opening on dustbag. Replace dustbag cov er on unit. NO TE: Dustbag cover cannot be closed unless the dustbag is installed properl y .
2. Remov e the two scre ws from the top of the hood. 3. Lift hood to remov e . 8 P eriodic Maintenance NO TE: T urn off the switch and unplug the electrical cor d before periodic maintenance. Never operate the vacuum c leaner without the dustbag/Smartbo x or fi lter assembly in place.
T o Clear Bloc kages in Hose NO TE: T urn off the switc h and unplug the electrical cord before c learing hose. 1. Firmly pull the end of the hose from the hose retainer on the hood of the vacuum. 2. Chec k f or bloc kages in the hose and hose retainer .
Motor will not star t. Electric Plug Push plug securely into outlet. T ry another outlet. Check circuit break er . Motor suddenly stops. Thermal Cut Off See below . Does not clean the car pet Filters Clean or replace the fi lters. Hint: If picking up fi ne or fl oor .
