8 JBOD MODE(Single ): The normal Mode (J ust a Bunc h of Disks) storage policy ena bles each hard drive t o be seen separately as o ne drive. JBOD stora ge policy is for a standalon e (non -cascaded) Storage Processor o r the top-level node of a cascaded configuration, but no t for subordinate nodes.
9 BIG MODE (Spanni ng): The BIG storage policy concatenates a se ries of physical hard driv es as a single large volume; resultin g in a seamless expansio n of virtual volumes beyond the physical limitations of s i ngul arly connected hard drives.
10 RAID 0 (Striping) : The RAID0 storage policy distributes access acros s all hard disks, also cal led striping. RAID0 presents th e best data speed but no data re dundancy. RAID0 storage policy accelerates hard d isk operating speed b y using many disks i n parallel.
11 RAID 1 (Mirror ing ): The RAID1 storage policy stores all data in dupl icate on separate drives t o prote ct against data loss d ue to drive failure.
