Parallel position This position is used for cleaning under furniture. 6 ADJUSTING THE HANDLE Upright po sition The handle is normally locked in this position for storage or when using the attachments. Projection Groove 1 1 2 3 2 4 1 2 Trapdoor Release Lever Dust Cup Knob Turn the dust cup knob several times in the direction shown(clockwise) to empty the dust compartment. EMPTYING THE DUST COMP ARTMENT Caution: Be sure to turn the ON/OFF switch to the "OFF" position and disconnect the power cord from the wall outlet before cleaning.

Projection Groove 14 1 1 REPLACEMENT INSTRUCTIONS REMOVING THE BOTT OM PLA TE Set the vacuum cleaner to the parallel position and turn it over . REA TT ACHING THE BOTT OM PLA TE Insert the projection on the bottom plate into the groove on the nozzle housing and set the bottom plate in place.
Filter Cover HEP A Filter 2 2 1 1 Sub-Filter Air Inlet Cover Caution: Be sure that seal on the HEPA filter is inserted towards the inside of the vacuum cleaner. The filter cover should be correctly oriented when it is reattached. Do not reattach it upside down.
The filter sensor will go on even the contents still away from the MAX mark as vacuuming a large amount of fine dust. In this case, please clean the filters. (refer to page 1 1) If the suction force is becoming weak or when the cleaner is vacuuming noisily , the filter sensor will go on.
If there is a problem with the vacuum cleaner, carry out the following checks to find the cause. If the problem still persists after the checks have been made, do not use the vacuum cleaner to prevent the possibility of an accident occurring.
