3 Safety and warnings Some appliances have a protective film. R emov e this film before using the cook er . After unpacking the appliance, check to to ensure it is not damaged and the door closes correctly . If in doubt, do not use it and consult your Authorised Dealer or a professionally qualified technician.
4 Safety and warnings Elec trical The switch must alw ays be ac cessible . The pow er supply cable m ust not touch any hot par ts and must be positioned so that it does not ex ceed 75 O C at an y point and c annot become entrapped in the o ven door .
5 Safety and warnings General Do not leave packing elements (plastic bags, polystyrene foam, nails, packing straps etc) around within easy acc ess of children, as these may cause serious injuries . Read the instructions carefully before installing and using the appliance .

10 Safety and warnings Do not hang towels , dishcloths or other items on the cook er or o ven door handle as this is a potential a fire hazard. If the electrical supply c ord is damaged, it m ust only be replaced b y an authorised person. Do not touch the cook er with wet hands or feet.

13 Installation instructions Lev elling the cooker Level the c ooker by screwing the bottom of the f eet in or out, as shown. Fitting the adjustable f eet Impor tant! Using the supplied adjustable feet is MANDA TORY .
14 Installation instructions Impor tant! T wo people must alw ays raise the cook er , as shown, to prevent damaging the adjustable feet. Do not lift the cooker by the door handles .
15 Installation instructions Anti- Tilt Bracket Impor tant! T o restrain the appliance and prevent it tipping accidentally , fit a bracket to its rear to fix it securely to the wall .
16 Installation instructions V entilation requir ements (GB & IE only) The appliance should be installed into a r oom or space with an air supply in accordance with BS 5440-2:2000. F or rooms with a volume of less than 5 m 3 - permanent ventilation of 100 mm 2 free area will be required .
17 Installation instructions Installation to Natural gas Installation to Natural Gas must conform to the Code of P ractice, etc . The supply pressure f or Natural Gas is 20 mbar . Installation to Liquid P etroleum gas This appliance must only be connected to LPG after an LPG con version kit has been fitted.
18 Installation instructions Replacement of burner injectors If the injectors are not supplied, contact the Fisher & P aykel A uthorised Ser vice Centre . Select the injec tors to be replac ed according to the “ T able for the choice of the injectors” .
19 Installation instructions Adjusting The Minimum Burner S etting Check whether the flame spreads to all burner ports when the burner is lit with the gas tap set to the minimum position. If some por ts do not light, increase the minimum gas rate setting .

23 Using y our gas cooktop Gas burners The knob controls the flow of gas through the saf ety tap. = closed valve = maximum aperture or flow = minimum aperture or flow Y ou can choose to cook at any heat between and , but never between and OFF .

Make sure all controls ar e turned off. Lighting the cooktop 1 Choose the control knob for the burner you want to use .
25 Using y our gas cooktop If the cooktop does not light If the cooktop does not light, check that: The cooker is switched on. The gas is turned on. Y ou have held down the knob for at least ten seconds . The ignitors ar e sparking. If the ignitors are not sparking, they may be dirty or wet.
26 Using y our gas cooktop Choosing a burner Use flat-bottomed pans, and make sur e that they match your burner , as shown in the following table. A small pot on a large burner is not efficient. Diameters of pans which may be used on the c ooktop W ok stand Impor tant! Using a wok without the stand may cause the burner to oper ate incorrectly .
27 Cookt op troubleshooting Problem Possible solutions My cooktop burners do not light Check the cooker is switched on. Check the gas supply valve is turned on and the supply to the house is working. Y ou should hear the gas when you turn a burner on.

The oven t emperature indicator light, above the temperatur e knob on the control panel, will glow until the oven has r eached the set temperature, and then it will go out.
31 Cooking functions OVEN LAMP Only the oven light comes on. It remains on in all the cooking functions. BAKE The upper and lower heating elements c ome on. BAKE is the traditional method of cooking. It is best to cook on only one shelf at a time in this function.
32 F AN BAKE The upper and lower heating elements and the fan c ome on. Impor tant! Safe food handling: leave food in the oven for as short a time as possible before and af ter cooking or defrosting. This is to avoid c ontamination by organisms which may cause food poisoning .
33 Aut omatic cooking Use automatic cooking to automatically turn the ov en on, cook, and then turn the oven off . 1 Check the clock shows the corr ect time. 2 Select the func tion and temperature . The oven will come on. 3 Decide how long the food will take to c ook, allowing time for preheating if necessary .

35 Using y our compact oven 1 Select the func tion using the function k nob . The oven light will come on. 2 Select the temperature using the temperature co ntr ol knob. The oven t emperature indicator light, above the temperatur e knob on the control panel, will glow until the oven has r eached the set temperature, and then it will go out.
36 Using y our compact oven DEFROST Only the oven fan comes on. U se with the temperature knob set to O . The fan circulates air around the oven, speeding up the defr osting process by appr oximately 30%. Note: this function is not for cooking food. F AN FORCED The circular heating element and the fan come on.
37 Using y our compact oven F AN BAKE The upper and lower heating elements and the fan c ome on. Impor tant! Safe food handling: leave food in the oven for as short a time as possible before and af ter cooking or defrosting. This is to avoid c ontamination by organisms which may cause food poisoning .
38 The dish-warming shelf can be used to hold dishes or for c ooking. If you want to warm plates, put the oven on bake at about 60 °C. T ake care when remo ving plates, as they can get hot. T o use the shelf to hold dishes T urn it with the plate supports facing up.
39 Impor tant! Before you start cleaning your cooker , please: Read these cleaning instructions and the ‘Safet y and warnings ’ section at the star t of this user guide. T urn the cooker off at the wall . Make sure the c ooker is a safe temperature to touch.

41 Car e and cleaning Replacing the triple ring wok burner T o replace the wok burner , fit the burner ring to the housing as shown by the arrow in the figur e following . 42 Car e and cleaning Cleaning the inside of your ov ens Clean the oven regularly and do not allo w fats or oils to build up in the oven base or tra y . Remove spillages as soon as they occur . Do not use abrasive cleaners, cloths or pads to clean the enamel .
43 Car e and cleaning Cleaning the enamel cavity Clean the enamel on the inside of the oven when it has cooled do wn, using household detergents or an ammonia-based cleaner . Y ou may use ‘ off the shelf ’ oven cleaners, if you carefully follo w the manufacturers’ instructions.
44 Car e and cleaning Storage compartment The storage compartment is accessible through the pivoting panel . Impor tant! Do not store flammable material in the ovens or in the storage c ompar tment.
45 Car e and cleaning Removing and refitting the o ven door(s) Impor tant! T ake care , the oven door is heavy! T o remov e the door 1 Open the door fully. 3 Hold the door . 5 Disengage the hinges and remov e the door . 2 Open the levers. 4 Close the door until the levers hook to it.
46 Car e and cleaning Cleaning the oven door glass Do not use harsh abrasive cleaners, or sharp metal scrapers to clean the o ven door glass as they scratch the surface and result in shattering of the glass. Removing and refitting the inner glass panes of the o ven door(s) Y ou may remove the inner glass pane f or ease of cleaning.
47 Car e and cleaning 2 Check the rubber pads are in place. 3 Check the pane is the right way around . The painted side faces t oward the front of the door and the shiny side faces into the oven.
48 Car e and cleaning Replacing the oven lamp Let the ov en cavity and the heating elements cool down. Remove the pr otective cover B . Unscrew and replace the bulb A with a new one suitable f or high temperatures (300°C) with the specifications: 230-240V 50 Hz, 15W , E14 Refit the protective cov er .
