Important Notes • Y our new battery must be char ged for at least 18 hours bef ore you use it in y our vehic le for the first time. • Y ou do not need to remo ve the battery from the vehicle to recharge it. • The batter y must be upright while charging.
Battery Charging • Lift the tab on the back of the seat bac k to unlatch the peg from the hole in the vehicle body . Hint: This ma y require a lot of force . • Remov e the seat back from the v ehicle body . Seat Back Ta b • While pushing the batter y clamp, remo v e the batter y from the vehicle body .
Assembl y • With the P o wer Wheels ® logo f acing out, inser t a roll cage into a groov e in the topside of the v ehicle body . • Push down firmly on the roll cage to " snap " it into place. • Pull up on the roll cage to be sure it is secure.
Assembl y • Fit the driver onto the end of the rear axle. • Align the ribs on the inside of the dr iver with the gearbo x teeth. Fit the dr iver to the gearbo x. Driver • Fit a cap nut into the cupped end of the assemb ly tool. • Fit the assembly tool with cap n ut up through the hole in the vehicle body bottom, as sho wn.
Assembl y • Identify the front axle, handle axle , buc ket axles , and handle pin. • Slide a spacer onto one end of the front axle. • P osition a wheel with the ribbed or inside of the wheel f acing up . • Inser t a round bushing, barrel side first, into the hole in the center of the wheel.
Assembl y • At an angle, inser t one end of the handle pin into a hole in the handle. • Then, push the other end of the handle pin down to snap it into place in the handle. • Fit the handgrip onto the peg on the handle. Hint : If it is difficult to slide the handgrip onto the peg, moisten the inside of the handgrip with water .
Assembl y • Fit the buc ket to the front end of the v ehicle . • Fit a buc ket axle through the hole in the end of the buc ket, v ehicle body and out through the hole in the other side of the buc ket. • Repeat this procedure to attach the other buc ket axle .

When applying labels, keep the follo wing guidelines in mind: • W ash your hands bef ore applying the labels . • Bef ore applying the labels, wipe the surf ace of the v ehicle with a clean, dr y cloth to remov e any dust or oils .
Battery Installation • While pushing the batter y clamp, place a P ower Wheels ® 6 volt battery upright in the batter y compar tment. Batter y Clamp 6 V olt Batter y IMPORT ANT! Use only a P ow er Wheels ® 6 volt battery with A-style connector and built-in thermal fuse.
Battery Care and Disposal I Disposal Care If a battery leak develops, a void contact with the leaking acid and place the damaged batter y in a plastic bag. See inf or mation below f or proper disposal. If acid comes in contact with skin or eyes, flush with cool water f or at least 15 minutes and call a ph ysician.

Ho w to Operate Y our V ehic le IMPORT ANT! Alwa ys stop the vehicle bef ore s witching between f orward and re v erse. • Press the shifter buttons f or f orward and re verse . • Press down on the f oot pedal. The vehicle will go f orward or in re verse at a maxim um of 3 1 / 2 mph.
