Assembly Do Not Omit An y Steps F • P osition the dash cov er as shown. Make sure the three tabs are at the top . • Fit the knob into the hole in the r ight side of the dash cov er . • Fit the key into the hole to the left of the knob . • Inser t a #6 x 3 / 8 " scre w into the bac k of the knob and into the back of the k e y .
10 • Fit the cur ved end of the steering column into the hole in the front axle. Please Note: Y ou may need to straighten the v ehicle tires and rotate the steering column to fit it into the hole in the front axle. • Fit a cap nut onto the end of the steer ing column.
11 Assembly Please Note: The seat can be assembled in either of two positions f or your child’ s comf or t. • Push down on the center of the seat and slide it toward the rear of the v ehicle. • Align the screw holes in the back of the seat with the first or second set of holes in the v ehicle body .
Assembly T M • Inser t a #8 x 1" scre w into each of the two inner screw holes in the top of the front b umper . • Tighten the screws with a Phillips screwdriv er . Do not ov er-tighten. • Inser t a #8 x 1" scre w into each of the two outer screw holes in the top of the rear bumper .
• F ace the front of the vehicle . • Inser t the two tabs at the top of the g rille into the slots in the front of the v ehicle body . • Press fir mly to snap the tabs into the slots. • Fit the two side tabs on the grille into the grille openings in the front of the vehic le body .

Battery Care and Disposal If a battery leak develops, av oid contact with the leaking acid and place the damaged batter y in a plastic bag. See inf ormation below for proper disposal. If acid comes in contact with skin or ey es, flush with cool water f or at least 15 min utes and call a ph ysician.
Rules for Safe Driving 10° Incline should never be more than 10° 5. Do not operate this v ehicle with more than one rider who is seated on the seating area. A child who is not sitting on the seat or who is standing on the v ehicle could f all off , cause a tip-ov er or b lock the driv er’ s view .
How to Operate Y our V ehicle • Make sure the P ower Stick™ shifter is in the forward ( ) position . • Press down on the foot pedal . The vehicle goes f orward at a maxim um of 3 1 / 2 mph . • Help your child practice steering to lear n how f ar and ho w quickly to turn the steering wheel when dr iving forw ard.
Caring For Y our V ehic le 19 L • Check all screws , retainers and their protectiv e cov erings regularly and tighten as required. Check plastic par ts on a regular basis f or crac ks or broken pieces . • Dur ing snowy or rain y weather , the vehicle should be stored inside or under a protectiv e cov er .
V ehicle does not run Undercharged battery Charge the battery . A new batter y should have been charged for at least 18 hours before using the vehicle for the first time. After first-time use, recharge the battery for at least 14 hours after each use.
V ehicle was running but T ripped thermal fuse The built-in thermal fuse may “trip” and shut down operation suddenly stopped (cont.) of the vehicle if the vehicle is overloaded or the driving con- ditions too severe. The fuse will automatically reset itself after approximately 25 seconds allowing the vehicle to resume normal operation.
V ehicle runs sluggishly (cont.) Battery is old and will not accept Even with pr oper care, rechargeable batteries do not last full charge forever . A verage battery life is 1 to 3 years depending on the vehicle use and use conditions. Replace the battery with a Power Wheels ® 6 volt battery with A-style connector and built-in thermal fuse.
