Battery Charging E 7 CA UTION Use the charger in dr y locations only . W ARNING • Batter y can f all out and injure a child if v ehicle tips ov er . Alwa ys use batter y clamp . • PREVENT FIRE - Do not bypass a P ower Wheels ® fuse . It is a saf ety device .
Battery Charging • Loosen the screw in the rear b umper cov er (batter y clamp). • Remov e the rear bumper co ver . • Lift to remov e the batter y from the batter y compar tment.
Assembl y • Lift the front end of the v ehicle. • Fit the str aight end of the steer ing column through the upper hole in the steering linkage and out through the hole in the vehicle body . • Fit the hook ed end of the steering column through the lower hole in the steering linkage.
Assembl y • Loosen the scre w in the action sounds box battery compar tment door . • Remo ve the battery compar tment door . • Insert three alkaline "AA" (LR6) batter ies, as indicated inside the batter y compar tment. Hint : We recommend the use of alkaline batteries f or longer batter y lif e.
Assembl y • Flatten the "T" end of one of the seat belts . • Insert the "T" end of the seat belt through one of the slots in the seat. • Pull up on the seat belt to be sure it is secure . • Repeat this procedure to assemb le the other seat belt to the seat.
Assembl y • T ur n the vehicle o ver so that the bottom is f acing up. • Insert two #8 x 3 / 4 " screws through the slots in the vehicle bottom and into the seat. • Tighten the scre ws with a Phillips screwdriver . Do not ov er-tighten. 12 13 • Fit the motor harness into the groov e in the vehicle floorboard, as shown.
Label Decoration Proper label application will help to keep the labels looking their best! When applying labels, keep the follo wing guidelines in mind: • W ash your hands bef ore applying the labels. • Before applying the labels , wipe the surface of the v ehicle with a clean, dr y cloth to remov e any dust or oils.

Battery Installation IMPORT ANT! Use only a P ower Wheels ® T ype H 6 v olt batter y with a P ow er Wheels ® 25 Amp fuse installed. Use of any other battery or fuse will damage your v ehicle.
16 If a battery leak develops, av oid contact with the leaking acid and place the damaged batter y in a plastic bag. See inf or mation below f or proper disposal. If acid comes in contact with skin or eyes, flush with cool water f or at least 15 minutes and call a ph ysician.
17 T each Safety Rules to Children While children can quickly de velop the skill necessary to drive this v ehicle, it is impor tant to remember that their judgment skills are still ve r y immature. Unsuper vised driving by children can lead to serious injur y .
18 Ho w to Operate Y our V ehicle • Press and hold the go b utton on the steering wheel. • The v ehicle drives f orward at a maximum of 2 mph. Hint: Be sure your child presses and holds the center of the go button f or power .
