1. PREF A CE This ser vice man ual provides v ar ious service information, including the mechanical and electrical par ts, etc. This room air conditioner was manuf actured and assembled under a strict quality control system. The refrigerant is charged at the factory .
—3— 1.3 LOCA TIONS OF CONTR OLS MONEY SAVER 2 The fan stops when the compressor stops cooling. • Approximately every 3 minutes the fan will turn on and sample the room air to determine if more cooling is needed. TEMPERATURE SETTING 1 • These buttons control the temperature of the room.
—4— 2. DISASSEMBL Y INSTR UCTIONS 2.1 MECHANICAL P AR TS 2.1.1 FRONT GRILLE 1. Pull the inlet grille forw ard. 2. Remov e the screw securing the F ront Grille. (Fig. 3) 3. Push the grille up from the bottom and pull the top of the grille aw a y from the case to lift the top tabs out of their slots.

(Ref er to Section 2.3.1) 4. After discharging the unit completely , unbrace the suction and discharge pipes at the compressor connections.

—11— 2.4.4 ELECTRICAL D A T A USE OF EXTENSION CORDS Because of potential saf ety hazards, w e strongly discourage the use of an e xtension cord. Howe ver , if you wish to use an e xtension cord, use a CSA cer tified/UL-listed 3-wire (grounding) extension cord, r ated 15A, 125V .

—13— 3.3 TR OUBLESHOO TING GUIDE In general, possib le trouble is classified in tw o kinds. The one is called Starting Failure which is caused by an electrical def ect. The other is Ineffective Air Con- ditioning caused by a def ect in the refrigeration circuit and improper application.
