6 6 Add laundry load to washer. • For best w ashing performance, dry load level should not be higher than the upper row of holes in the wash tub. Do not ov erload the washer . • Combine large and small items in a load. Load large items fi rst. Large items should not be more than half the total wash load.

9 OPERATING INSTRUCTIONS normal Use this load for light to normally soiled cottons, towels, shirts, denims and mixed loads. F or best combination of energy and water saving and washing performance, perform this cy cle with energy saver option (if av ailable) selected.
10 Cycle Settings Select appropriate wash water temper ature, soil lev el (if equipped), water level (if equipped) and options most suitable for each load. Make selections according to fi ber content, colorfastness and soil level. The settings can be changed before the cy cle is started.

17 CARE AND CLEANING Common Washing Problems Many washing problems inv olve poor soil and stain remov al, residues of lint and scum, and fabric damage. F or satisfactory washi ng results, follow these suggestions provided by The Soap and Detergent Association.

19 AVOID SERVICE CHECKLIST RV ANTIFREEZE Follow WINTERIZING INSTRUCTIONS for cold weather storage and care. IMPORTANT If the washer is stored in an area where freezing can occur or moved in freezing temper atures, follow these winterizing instructions to prevent damage to the washer: 1 T urn off water supply faucets.
20 AVOID SERVICE CHECKLIST OCCURRENCE POSSIBLE CAUSE SOLUTION NOISE Rattling and clanking noise. Foreign objects such as coins or saf ety pins may be in tub or pump. Stop washer and check drum. If noise continues after washer is restarted, objects may be in pump.
