5 Installation - Connecting T o W ater Supply T o av oid electric shock, which can cause death or severe personal injury , disconnect the refrigerator from electrical power bef ore connecting a water supply line to the refrigerator . T o A v oid Proper ty Damage: • Copper tubing is recommended for the water suppl y line .
6 Door Remo v al Instructions 1. Disconnect electrical supply . 2. Remov e toe grille (see page 4 to lear n how). T o remo ve freez er door: 1. Remov e top hinge cover and scre ws. 2. T race around the hinge with a soft lead pencil. This makes reinstallation easier .

8 T emperature Contr ols COOL DO WN PERIOD T o ensure saf e food stor age, allow the refrigerator to operate with the doors closed f or at least 8 to 12 hours before loading it with food. REFRIGERA T OR & FREEZER CONTROLS NO TE: When changing control settings , wait 24 hours bef ore making additional adjustments.
9 Looking Inside T o av oid personal injury or property damage, handle tempered glass shelves carefully . Shelves may break suddenly if nicked, scratched, or exposed to sudden temperature change. SHELF ADJUSTMENT Refrigerator shelves are easily adjusted to suit individual needs .
10 Looking Inside (continued) DOOR ST ORA GE Door bins, shelv es, and racks are pro vided for con venient storage of jars, bottles , and cans. F requently used items can be quickly selected. Some models hav e door rac ks or bins that can accommodate gallon-sized plastic drink containers and economy-sized jars and containers.
11 Looking Inside - (continued) CRISPERS (SOME MODELS) The crispers, located under the bottom refrigerator shelf, are designed for storing fruits , vegetables , and other fresh produce. Wash items in w ater and remove e xcess water before placing them in the crispers .
12 WA TER DISPENSER Y our refr igerator includes an automatic w ater dispenser on the front of the refrigerator door . The dispenser is designed to accommodate containers up to 7½ inc hes high. How the W ater Dispenser W orks The water tank, located inside the refrigerator door , automatically fills as water is dispensed.
13 ICE MAKER If your refrigerator has an automatic ice maker , it will provide a sufficient supply of ice for normal use. Dur ing the initial star tup of y our refr igerator , howe ver , no ice will be produced during the first 24 hours of operation.
