34 35 Advanced Features 3 EXPOSURE ( SHUTTER SPEED AND APERTURE ) PHOTOGRAPHY FUNCTIONS Exposure refers to the light that hits the CCD or the total amount of captured light and determines the brightness of the image. The exposure is determined by the combination of aperture and shutter speed.

This is an automatic mode to set the shutter speed. Use this mode to freeze a moving subject (fast shutter speed) or convey the impression of movement (slow shutter speed).

46 47 Advanced Features 3 x Auto flash Use this mode for ordinary photography. The flash fires as required by the shooting conditions. ● ! If pressing the shutter button while the flash is charging, the picture will be taken without the flash.

The recorded specifications include information on which frames are to be printed.
