En-3 FEA TURES AND FUNCTIONS AUTOMA TIC OPERA TION ● COOLING MODEL Merely press the ST AR T/STOP button, and the unit will begin automatic operation in the Cooling or Dry mode as appropriate, in accordance with the thermostat setting and the actual temperature of the room.

En-10 TIMER OPERA TION About the PROGRAM timer ● The PROGRAM timer allows you to integrate OFF timer and ON timer operations in a single sequence. The se- quence can involve one transition from OFF timer to ON timer , or from ON timer to OFF timer , within a twenty- four hour period.
En-11 ADJUSTING THE DIRECTION OF AIR CIRCULA TION Instructions relating to heating (*) are applicable only to “HEA T & COOL MODEL” (Reverse Cycle). V ertical (up-down) direction of airflow is adjusted by pressing the remote control unit’ s AIR FLOW DIRECTION VERTICAL SET button.
En-12 SWING OPERA TION Begin air conditioner operation before performing this procedure T o select V ertical airflow SWING Operation Press the AIR FLOW DIRECTION VER TICAL SWING button . The SWING indicator light (VER TICAL SWING) (orange) will turn on.

The air conditioner can be operated while keeping energy consumption costs down. How T o Use the ENERGY SA VE OPERA TION 1 Press the ST ART/STOP button (if the unit is already operating, proceed to step 2).
En-14 ● Before cleaning the air conditioner , be sure to tur n it off and tur n off the electrical breaker . ● Be sure the intake grille is installed securely . ● When removing and replacing the air filters, be sure not to touch the heat exchanger , as per- sonal injury may result.

En-17 OPERA TING TIPS ● Should the power supply to the air conditioner be inter - rupted by a power failure, the air conditioner will restart automatically in the previously selected mode once the power is restored.
