If the A uto Insert N otification function is activ e, the indicator will flash periodically when your system is checking the optical dri ve.

It is used to co ntrol the mov ement of the pointer to select it ems on your di splay panel. The T ouchpad is composed of a cursor control, a left and right button, and a scrolling button.
17 Getting to Know Y our LifeBook DRAGGING Dragging means pressing and holding the left button, while moving the cursor . T o drag , mov e the cursor t o the item y ou wish to move. P ress and hold the left button while moving the it em to its new location and then release it.

35 User -Installable Features Lithium ion Battery Y our LifeBook notebook has a Lithium ion battery that pro vides power for operating your not ebook when no exte rnal power sour ce is a vailable. The batte r y is durable and long lasting , but should not be expos ed to extreme temperatures, high voltages, chem icals or other hazards.

Once y our notebook goes into Dead Battery Suspend mode y ou will be unable t o resume operation until y ou pro vide a source of power either fr om an adapter , or a charged battery .

These cards use flash memor y architecture, which means they don ’ t need a pow er sour ce t o retain data.

55 T roubleshooting Y our notebook appears to change setup parame te rs when you start it. BIOS se tup changes were not sav ed when you made them and exited the BIOS setup utility returning it t o previous settings. Mak e sure you select Sa ve Changes A nd Exit when exiting the BIOS setup utility .

57 T roubleshooting Memory Problems The Syst em Pr operties screen does not show the correct amount of installe d memory . Y our memor y upgrade module is not properly installed.
