The wireless keyboard allows y ou to enter data int o your T ablet PC w ithout the clutter and constraints of c ables. Be fore us in g t he w ire le ss ke y bo ard , yo u s ho uld re ad th roug h this manual to become familiar with the keyboard.
2 Installing the Keyboard Batteries T o install or replace the batt er ies in your wireless keyboard: 1. Close any open programs on your T ablet PC. 2. Re move the wireless keyboard battery compartment cover by sl id in g th e co ver away fro m t he ke yb o ard (Figure 1) .
3 Figure 1. Bottom of wireless keyboard Installing the Keyboard Driver Before using the wireless k e yboard, you will need to install a new k eyboard driv er . There ar e two ways to install the new driver: Wireless Keyboard Driver CD The W ireless K eyboard Driver CD is inclu ded with the w ire- less keyboar d.
4 T o install the dri ver fro m an ex ternal driv e: 1. Attac h the drive t o the tablet. 2. T urn on the system. 3. Open the drive and in sert the CD . The system will auto- matically rec ognize the CD and begin the installation. Follow the instructions that appear to install the driver .
5 ■ Don ’t attempt to use a wi reless keyboard at the same time as a wired keyboard. W ired keyboards tak es precede nce over wireless, so the wireless keyboard becomes disabled. ■ If a k ey on the keyboard is depressed c ontinuously , the battery wil l automatically shu t off after appr o ximately 60 seconds to pr eserve battery life.
6 Keyboard Features On/Off Switch The On/Off switch is located on the top edge of the key- board. It is used to power the k e yboard on and off. The key- board should be power ed off when it is not used for extended periods in order t o maximize battery life.

Clic king Double-Clicking Double-clicking means pushing and r eleasing the left button twice in rapid succession.
8 Dragg ing Dragging means pressing and holding the left button, while moving the cursor . T o drag , mov e the cursor to the item you wish to move. Pr ess a nd hold the left button while moving the item to its new location and then r e lease it. Dragging can also be done using the T o uchpad.

11 Cu rsor K eys The cursor k e ys are the four arro w keys on the keyboard which allow y ou to mov e the cursor up, d own, left and righ t in applications. In programs such as W indows Explorer , it moves the “ focus” (selects the next ite m up, do w n, left, or right) .
12 Each time you pr ess the combination of k eys you will step to the ne xt choice. The choices, in or der , are: b uilt-in dis- play panel only , both built-in display panel and external monitor or external monitor only .
13 assign keyboard A the identification c o de “1” and keyboar d B the identification code “2” , then use keyboard B first, the T ablet PC will only recognize the k eyboard B identification cod e “ 2 ” .
14 T roubleshooting the Wireless Keyboard The wireless keyboard is used in the same way as a normal wired keyboard. In typical operation, you should encounte r few pr oblems in transmitting data to your T ablet PC.
15 Caring for your keyboard Y our w ireless keyboar d is a durable but sensitiv e electronic device. ■ If you accidentally spill liqui d on your keyboard, position it so that the liquid can r un out, then let it dr y out for 24 hours, or longer , as req uired.
