The pen which came with the system is too small to fit snugly in the pen slot, so a full-size pen is included with th e case. The pen holder on the top front of the case should be used to store the pen.
3 Figure 2. Rugged tablet case - back Installing the hand strap The hand strap is design ed to let y ou hold your syste m securely when it is installed in the case. U se of the hand strap is highly recommended. The hand strap consists of two parts, each of which has a V elcro strip on one end and a r etaining bar at the other .
4 2. Insert the shorter of the two pieces of the hand strap into the bottom slots with the V elcr o “hooks” strip fac- ing up . (Figure 3) Pull it through until the retaining bar is snug against the case.
5 Installing the system T o install y our syste m into the rugged tablet case, perform the following steps: 1. P osition the case face do wn (the same or ientation as when you installed the hand strap). 2. P osition the system in tablet mode with the display fac- ing down, and hold it by the edge opposite the battery .

7 Using the hand strap Whe n you want t o hold the case using the elastic hand strap , first separate the two hal ves. Place your hand in a c omfort- able position on the bott om of the system and re-secure the strap against the back of your hand. Whe n not using the hand str ap , attach it snugly against the back of the computer .

10 Installing the pen tether T o in stall the pen tether , in sert one end into one of the D- rings, then feed it through the loop on the other end. Pull it snug against the D-r ing. Feed the loose end of the t ether through the hole on the end of the pen, slide the loop ov er the tip of the pen, then do wn the barrel.
