p.11 Using Y our Drive G SPEED Q ™ Easy Installation for Mac G-SPEED Q attaches to your c omputer via a USB 2.0, high speed eSA T A, or one of two F ireW ire 800 por ts. Choose the connection appropriate f or your sys- tem and connect the drive with the matching sup- plied cable.

There is a r ed LED on the bottom right of the unit and amber LEDs on each drive module. These LEDs will ash f or about 45 seconds when the unit is rst pow ered on.

p.15 Using RAID Modes G SPEED Q ™ Suppor ted RAID Modes G-SPEED Q is congured in RAID 5 (P rot ected) mode at the factor y . The drive also sup- por ts RAID 0 (Performance) conguration. The following table explains the advantages and disadvantages f or each RAID level.
