Time Machine is an application that ships with your Mac and pr ovides automatic backup f or your les . The follo wing steps will quickly set up your G-DRIVE mini with Time Machine.

Y ou can set its options by click ing the Options button. Do this to choose volumes , folders or les you do NO T want to backup .

p.21 Maintenanc e for Y our D riv e G DRIVE ® multiple Reforma t with Partitions ‘P ar titioning ’ a hard drive is the proc ess of dividing a hard drive int o separate , discrete sections called ‘volumes’ . Each volume works like a separate disk.

Click on the P ar tition button in the main window . 4. Select the number of par titions you would like from the V olume S cheme menu.

p.26 Using Y our Drive on W indow s G DRIVE ® G DRIVE ® W indows U se G--DRIVE mini is set up at the factor y for use with Mac OS X systems . A simple initializa- tion will prepare y our dr ive f or use with Windows XP , Vista and Windows 7 sy stems.
p.27 Using Y our Drive on W indow s G DRIVE ® Cross Pla tform U se Y ou can set up G-DRIVE mini for use on both Windo ws and Mac system by f ormatting the drive as ‘F A T32’ . T o do this, use the Disk Utility application and format the drive t o MS-DOS (F A T ), also k nown as F A T32.
