Viruses can damage d a ta o r cause your computer to malfunction. Some viruses go undetected for a pe r iod of time because they are activated on a c ertain date.

Line noise is a common problem that ca n cause the modem to connect at a slower rate, abo rt downloads, or even disconnect.
