The tray ha s a spring so you c an exp and the tra y t o insert a drive. When you release the sides of the tray they will c ontract back togeth e r an d s ecure the dr ive.

T o add an additional har d drive: 1 T u rn off the co mputer , disconnect t he powe r c ord, modem cord (if installed), and all e x ternal pe ripheral devices.
Repla ci n g or adding dr ives 41 6 Align the threade d h oles on the side of the h ard drive with the metal po ints o n the tray . 7 Expand the t ray u ntil it fits the size of yo ur drive, then lower the drive into the t ray . Re lease the tray so it can contract to secur e the drive.

T o remove t he system boa rd, yo u must first remove the system board tray assembly from the chassis. Th e tray assembly c an be removed from t he chassis without tools.

The settings are stored in battery - b acked RAM and ar e ret ai ned even when t he power i s off.
