www.gatewa y.com 75 4 T o remove the PCIx card support brack ets, slide them toward the b ack of the case (1 ) until they slip free , then pull the front of the brackets aw ay from the computer (2) and remove them. 5 For more stability , place your computer on its side.
CHAPTER 5 : Upgrading Yo ur Computer 76 8 Install the new c ard into the expans ion slot. Y o u can slightly see saw the card end-to- end to help insert the card, but do not bend the card sideways. Refer to the following illustration for help : 9 Tighten the thumbscrew on the expansion card cover .

(Y ou wil l reconnect the ca bles after yo u install the cards on the new board.) 4 Remove the expans ion cards by following th e instructions i n “Adding or replacing an expansion ca rd” on page 74 .

It automatically gathe rs information about the latest bugs, security alerts, and updates from BigFix sites on the Internet. Whenever BigFi x detects a problem, it aler ts you by flashing the blue taskbar icon.
