Bypass valve s isolate the conditioner fro m the water system and allo w uncond iti oned wat er to be u sed. Water Line Connect ion 13 Rev A WARNING: Do not use too ls to tighte n pl asti c f itti ngs. Over t ime, str ess may br eak the connecti ons. When the 1265 bypass valv e is used, only hand tighte n the nut s. WARNING: Do not use petr oleum grease on gaskets when connecting bypass plumbi ng.
14 Dra in Li ne Rev A Drain Li ne Drain Li ne Connection 1. The unit should be above and not more than 20 feet (6.1 m) from th e drain. Use an appr opriate adapter f itting to connect 1/2- i nch (1.3 cm) plasti c tub ing to t he drai n line conne c t ion o f the con trol v alv e.
