3 Installation Preparation–Enclosur e PREP ARE DISHW ASHER ENCL OSURE Figure A To r educe the risk of shock, fire, or injury to persons, the installer must ensure that the dishwasher is completely enclosed at the time of installation.
ME THOD 1–Air Gap with W aste Tee or Disposer Disposer Installation ME THOD 2–High Drain Loop with W aste Tee or Disposer Use the drain hose hanger included in the installation kit to attach the drain hose to the underside of the countertop.

6 Installation Preparation–Hot W ater S upply PREP ARE HOT W A TER SUPPL Y Hot Water Line • The line may enter from either side, r ear , or floor within the shaded area shown in Figur e F .
STEP 3 – CHECK DOOR BAL ANCE • With dishwasher on the wood skid, check the door balance by opening and closing the door . • If the door drops when r eleased, increase the spring tension.
Dishwasher Installation 8 Figure M STEP 6 – REMOVE T OEKICK BRA CE Skip this step if your model does not have a sound upgrade kit . If your model does have a sound upgrade kit , this brace must be removed. • Remove the 2 toekick brace screws and toekick brace.
Dishwasher Installation STEP 9 – P OSITION W A TER LINE AND HOUSE WIRING • Position water supply line and house wiring on the fl oor of the enclosure to avoid interference with base of dishwasher and components under dishwasher .
Dishwasher Installation STEP 12 – SLIDE DISHW ASHER THREE- FOUR THS OF THE W A Y INTO CABINE T IMP OR T ANT – DO NO T PUSH AGAINST FRONT P ANEL WITH KNEES. DAMAGE WILL OC CUR. • Grasp the dishwasher by its sides and slide it into the opening a few inches at a time.

• When step is complete, close dishwasher door and verif y that gap between countertop and top of dishwasher door is at least 1/2". 12 Dishwasher Installation STEP 14 – LEVEL DISHW ASHER IMP OR T ANT – Dishwasher must be level for proper dish rack operation and wash performance.
Dishwasher Installation 13 STEP 16 – CONNECT W A TER SUPPL Y Connect water supply line to the 90° elbow . • Slide compression nut , then ferrule over end of water line. • Insert water line into 90° elbow . • Slide ferrule against elbow and secure with compression nut .
14 Dishwasher Installation STEP 18 – CONNECT POWER SUPPL Y Skip this step if dishwasher is equipped with power cord. Verify that power is turned off at the sour ce. • Locate junction box cover set aside in Step 1. • Secure house wiring to the back of the junction box with a strain relief .
