5 INSTALLATION INSTRUCTIONS Unpacki ng 1. Empty the micr owave oven of any packing materials. 2. Clean the inside with a soft, damp cloth. 3. Check for damage, such as: ■ a door that is not lined up correctly ■ damage around the door , or ■ dents on the interior or exte rior of the microwave oven.
6 P ARTS AND FEATURES Tur n t a b l e The turntable rotates in both directions to help cook food more evenly . Do not operate the microwave oven with out having the turntable in place. See “Assistance or Serv ice” to r eord er any of the parts. T o Install: 1.
7 MICROW A VE OVEN CONTROL Display When power is first supplied to the micr owave oven, a “: ” will blink in the display . T ouch OFF/CANCEL to stop the blin king. If the “:” blinks in the display at any other time, a power failure has occurr ed.
8 Clock This is a 12- or 24-hour clock. To S e t : The microwave oven and Timer must be off. 1. T ouch CLOCK SET . 2. T ouch HOUR or MIN pads to set corr ect time of day . 3. T ouch CLOCK SET . Use OPTIONS contr ol to turn on or turn off the clock, and to set to 12 or 24 hours.
9 MICROWAVE OVEN USE A magnetron in the microwave oven pr oduces microwaves which reflect of f the metal floor , walls and ceiling and pass through the turntable and appr opriate cookwar e to the food.
10 Cookwar e and Dinne rware Cookware and dinnerware must fit on the turntable. Always use oven mitts or pot hold ers when hand ling because an y dish may become hot fr om heat transferr ed from the food. Do not use cookware and dinnerware with gold or silver trim.
11 Manual Microwave Cooking To U s e : 1. Place food on the tu rntable, and close the door . 2. T ouch MICRO pad. 3. T ouch the MIN or SEC “up” or “down” arrow pads to set a length of time to cook. T ouch TEMP/POWER “up” or “dow n” arrow p ads to set a cooking power other than 100%.
12 Sensor Reheat The sensor in the microwave oven determines the reheating time based on the selection. Use the following chart as a guide. NOTE: When covering foods, make su re the vent opening is lar ge enough for moisture to escape. This will allow the sensor to accurately determine reh ea ti ng t im e.
13 PREHE AT T EMPERATUR E CHART Refer to recipe for recommended temperature settings. It is not necessary to preheat microwave oven unless recipe calls for it.
14 Auto Convection Cooking with Preheat Some Auto Convection settings will prompt to preheat the microwave oven before the food is placed inside. See “Auto Convection Preheating Chart.” T o Auto Convection Cook wit h Prehe at: 1. T ouch Auto Convection pads until desired food item is displayed.
15 POULTRY CHART * After cooking, cover with foil, and let stand for 10 minutes, until desired doneness is reached. FISH CHART Combination Cooking Combination microwave -convec tion cooking shortens the cooking time for foods that normall y r equire long periods of time to cook.
16 Defro sting The automatic Defrost control can be used, or the microwave oven can be manually set to defrost. ■ Unwrap foods and re move lids (from fruit juice) before defrosting. ■ Shallow packages will defrost more quickly than deep blocks. ■ Separate food pieces as soon as possible during or at the end of cycle for more even defrosting.
17 MICROWAVE OVEN CARE General Cleaning IMPORT ANT : Before cleaning, make sure all controls are of f and the microwave oven is cool. Always follow label instructions on cleaning products. Soap, water and a soft cloth or sponge are suggested unless otherwise noted.
18 TROUBLESHOOTING T ry the solutions suggested here f irst in or der to avoid the cost of an un necessary service call. Nothing will operate ■ Has a household fuse blown, or has a cir cuit breaker tripped? Replace the fuse or reset the circuit breaker .
