Installation diagrams are found in this manual. These diagrams will serve to provide the installer with a reference for the materials and method of piping necessary .

5 U.S. REQUIREMENTS Ratings specified by manufacturers for most appliances apply for elevations up to 2000 feet (610 m). For elevations above 2000 feet (610 m), ratings must be reduced at the rate of 4% for each 1000 feet (305 m) above sea level.

7 In addition to the appliance relief valve, each remote storage tank which may be used in conjunction with this appliance shall also be installed with a properly sized, rated and approved combination temperature (ANSI) and pressure (ASME) relief valve(s).

Close fireplace dampers. 4. Follow the lighting instruction. Place the water heater being inspected in operation.
13 Compare the actual input rate to that given on the heater’s rating plate. In the example, the BT-65’s full input rate should be 65,000 Btuh (19.0 KW) for natural gas. VENT SYSTEM Examine the venting system every 6 months for obstructions and/ or deterioration of vent piping.
14 W A TER TEMPERATURE IS T OO HOT 1. The thermostat water temperature adjusting dial may be set too high. 2 . If lowering control setting does not reduce the water temperature contact your dealer .
