18 Fr o n t V i e w Description Function 1 TV /A V Select s the input source to be displayed (TV , A V1, or A V2). 2 Select channel Changes the channel. Press CH U to increase the channel number . Press CH V to decrease the channel number . 3 Signal sensor/ Power LED Receives signals from the remote control.

20 Connecting to an An tenna/Cable TV 1. Connect one e nd of the VHF/UHF (Antenna ) or CA TV cable to ANT Jack (VHF/UHF IN Jack) on the back of the TV . 2. Connect the other end of the VHF/UHF (Antenna) or CA TV cable to the Antenna socket or CA TV cable.
21 Connecting to A V De vices Connect external devices such as VCD/DVD players or VCRs to the TV using the A V1 and A V2 port s on the back of the TV . Connecting to a VCR, VCD or DVD Player The illustration presented here shows how to connect your TV to a VCR, VCD or DVD player .
22 Connecting to a Video Camera The illustration presented here shows how to connect your TV to a camcorder or other type of digit al camera. Actual connections vary according to the make and model o f the device. Note The cables are co lo r-coded (black, re d, white, yellow).
23 Connecting Exter nal Speak er s and Headphone s Headphones or externa l speakers may be used to listen to the TV instead of the built-in speakers. Connect your h eadphones to the speaker/head phone line out port as illustrated. Notes • External speakers or headphones are not included with the product.
24 Connecting the P ower Adapter 1. Connect the power cord to t he power adapter as illustrated. 2. Plug the power adapter con nector into the DC-IN on the rear p anel of the TV . 3. Insert the three-pronged plug at the other end of the powe r cord into a powe r outlet.
25 Using the R emote Contr ol For best results, use the remote co ntrol within a dist ance of 5 meters from the front of the TV’ s signal sensor . Do not exceed an an gle of 30 degrees when pointing at the signa l sensor . Refer to the following illustration.
26 T ur ning the TV On and Of f 1. Press the POWER button; the power indicator LED turns of f, indicating that the power has been turned on. 2. Press the POWER button again; the power indicator LED shows red, indicating the TV is in standby (of f) mode.
27 Switching Source Signals Press the SOURCE button on the remote control or the TV button on the control panel to select the incoming source signal. The current source setting CH xx appears on the top lef t corner of the screen, A V1 or A V2 appears on the bottom right corner of the screen.
28 The On-Screen Display (OSD) menu system provides a quick a nd simple method to adjust your TV’ s settings. This chapter describes how to change each of the available settin g s. The OSD can be used with either the remote contro l or the front con- trol panel.
29 Brightness 1. Press MENU to enter the OSD menus. 2. Press the CH DOWN button or CH UP button to select Brightness. 3. Press MENU . The brightness slide bar is highlighted. 4. Press the CH UP button to increase the brightness. 5. Press the CH DOWN button to decrease the brightness.
30 Contrast 1. Press MENU to enter the OSD menus. 2. Press the CH DOW N button o r CH UP button to select Contrast. 3. Press MENU . The contrast slide bar is highlighted. 4. Press the CH UP button to increase the contrast. 5. Press the CH DOWN button to decrease the contrast.
31 Video Setting Press the MENU button to enter the OSD Main Menu screen. 1. Press the CH DOWN button or CH UP button to select Video Settin g. 2. Press MENU to enter the Video Settin g menu.
32 Hue 1. Press the CH DOW N button o r CH UP button to select Hue. 2. Press MENU to enter the Hue sub - menu. 3. Press the CH UP button to increase green and decrease red. 4. Press the CH DOWN button to decrease green and increase red. 5. Press MENU to confirm the setti ng and return to the V ideo Setting menu.
33 Saturation 1. Press the CH DOW N button o r CH UP button to select Saturation. 2. Press MENU to enter the Saturation submenu. 3. Press the CH UP button to increase the saturation. 4. Press the CH DOWN button to decrease the saturation. 5. Press MENU to confirm the setti ng and return to the V ideo Setting menu.
34 Sharpness 1. Press the CH DOW N button o r CH UP button to select Sharpness. 2. Press MENU to enter the SHARP - NESS submenu. 3. Press the CH UP button to increase the sharpness. 4. Press the CH DOWN button to decrease the sharpness. 5. Press MENU to confirm the setti ng and return to the V ideo Setting menu.
35 Color T emperature 1. Press the CH DOW N button o r CH UP button to select Color T emp. 2. Press MENU to enter the Color T em - perature submenu. There are three default color temperatures to Choo se from. St andard Color Press the CH DOWN button o r CH UP button to select S tandard, then press MENU .
36 Audio Setting Press the MENU button to enter OSD Main Menu screen. 1. Press the CH DOWN button o r CH UP button to se lect Audio Setting. 2. Press MENU to enter the Audio Setting menu.
37 Tr e b l e 1. Press the CH DOW N button o r CH UP button to select T reble. 2. Press MENU to enter the treble submenu. 3. Press the CH UP button to increase the treble. 4. Press the CH DOWN button to decrease the treble. 5. Press MENU to confirm the setti ng and return to the Audio Setting menu.
38 Bass 1. Press the CH DOW N button o r CH UP button to select Bass. 2. Press MENU to enter the Bass sub - menu. 3. Press the CH UP button to increase the bass. 4. Press the CH DOWN button to decrease the bass. 5. Press MENU to confirm the setti ng and return to the Audio Setting menu.
39 Balance 1. Press the CH DOW N button o r CH UP button to select Balance. 2. Press MENU to enter the Balance submenu. 3. Press the CH DOWN button to shift the balance to the lef t speaker . 4. Press the CH UP button to shif t the balance to the right speaker .
40 Mute 1. Press the CH DOW N button o r CH UP button to select Mute. 2. Press MENU to enter the Mute sub - menu. 3. Press the CH UP button to t urn the mute off. 4. Press the CH DOWN button to turn the mute on. 5. Press MENU to confirm the setti ng and return to the Audio Setting menu.

43 MTS 1. Press the CH DOW N button o r CH UP button to select MTS. 2. Press MENU to enter the MTS sub - menu. Select from the following options. MAIN Press the CH DOWN button o r CH UP button to select MAIN. A green dot appears and MAIN is highlighted in yel - low .
44 Auto Program 1. Press the CH DOW N button o r CH UP button to selec t Auto Program. 2. Press MENU to enter the Auto Pro - gram Setting submenu. 3. Press the CH DOW N button or CH UP button to select ON or OFF and p ress MENU . The screen shows “Auto Program.
45 Manual Program 1. Press the CH DOWN button or CH UP button to select “Man ual Program”. 2. Press MENU to enter the Manual Pro - gram submenu. 3. Press the CH DOW N button o r CH UP button to find the channel you want to add. Press MENU to s elect the chan - nel.
46 Channel Add/Erase 1. Select the channel you want to add o r delete, for exampl e, Channel 28. 2. Press the CH DOW N button o r CH UP button to select the CH. Add/Erase. 3. Press MENU to enter the channel Add/Erase submenu . Select from the following options.
47 Favorite Ch annels 1. Press the CH DOWN button o r CH UP button to select Favorites C H. Edit. 2. Press MENU to enter the Favorites CH. Edit submenu. 3. The screen displays the four favorite channels: M1, M2, M3, and M4. 4. Press the CH DOWN button or CH UP button to select the channel number you want to set for M1.
48 Miscellaneous Setting Press the MENU button to enter OSD Main Menu screen. 1. Press the CH DOWN button or CH UP button to select Miscel- laneous Setting.
49 Language 1. Press the CH DOWN button or CH UP button to select Lang uage. 2. Press MENU to enter the Language submenu. 3. The screen displays the available OSD languages: English and T - Chinese (T raditional Chinese). 4. Press the CH DOW N button or CH UP button to select a language.
50 Sleep Timer The sleep timer turns the TV of f automatically after a set period of time. 1. Press the CH DOW N button o r CH UP button to select Sleeper . 2. Press MENU to enter the Sleeper submenu. 3. The screen displays the available sleep timer setting: Of f, 30, 60, 90, and 120 minutes.
51 OSD Display This setting allows you to set th e amount o f information that appears on the LCD screen when the DISPLA Y button is pressed. Y ou can choose from three settings: Of f, Portion, or All. 1. Press the CH DOW N button o r CH UP button to select OSD Display .
52 Time Setting This section shows you how to change your TV’ s clock setting. 1. Press the CH DOW N button or CH UP button to select T ime Setting. 2. Press MENU to enter the Time Set- ting submenu. 3. The screen displays th e current set- ting. The hour is highlighted in yellow .
53 Re se t The Reset function returns all of your TV’ s user settings to their fac- tory defaults. W arning: The reset function erases all of yo ur custom and favorite channel set- tings, and will reset all display settings (such as cont rast, brightness, etc.
54 T urn the power off before you begin cleaning the TV. Use a clean lens cloth to remove dust and finger- prints from the screen. Do not wipe the shell of the TV with alcohol, methanol, gasoline or oil products to avoid the damaging the finish. Wipe the shell with a dry soft cloth a nd use neutral cleaning fluids.
55 Situation Solution No picture and sound. • Connect the power cord prope rly . • Press the POWER button on the control panel or remote control. • Press the TV button to cycle through connected video sources. • Press CH UP or CH DOWN to switch to other TV stations.
