– 9 – EN HOOK UPS NO TES: • Connect the D VD player directly to a TV . If the VIDEO/AUDIO cab les are connected to a VCR, pictures may be distor ted due to the copy protection system. • Be sure to turn off all components in the system before connecting another component.
During playbac k, press g g or h h repeatedly to select the desired f orward or rev erse speed. • For D VDs, f ast forward or re verse search speed is dif- ferent depending on the disc. Approximate speed is 1(x2), 2(x8), 3(x20), 4(x50) and 5(x100). • For A udio CDs and MP3, the approximate speed is 1(x2), 2(x8) and 3(x30) .
A vailable only on discs recorded in the Dolb y Digital format, x1.3 and x0.8 RAPID PLA Y with V oice plays back in slightly faster or slo wer speed while keeping the sound quality as in the normal playback. During playbac k, press MODE once.The x1.3 and x0.
– 12 – EN PLA YING A DISC During playbac k, press SEARCH MODE three times (CD: twice) to displa y the Time Search on the TV screen. Within 30 seconds, enter a desired disc time using the numerical b uttons . • Playbac k will star t at the specified time.
EN PLA YING A DISC This function allows y ou to select a specific language during D VD disc playback when m ultiple language options are availab le. Press AUDIO during pla yback. Press AUDIO repeatedly to select y our desired language. 2 1 DV D A udio Language This function shuffles the order of tracks instead of pla yback in the original sequence.
Language options may not be a vailab le on some discs. Press SETUP in stop mode. Press s or B to select CUST OM, then press ENTER . • CUST OM mode will appear. Press s or B to select LANGU AGE, then ENTER to confirm. Press K or L to select an item, then press ENTER .
This function allows y ou to change cer tain aspects of the D VD display screens , on-screen messages and the display panel on the front of the D VD player . Press SETUP in stop mode. Press s or B to select CUSTOM, then press ENTER . • CUST OM mode will appear.
