4–10 So f twar e Updates and R estor ations Using t h e S y stem Restore Utilit y The System Restore utility enables you to safeguard your system f iles and settings by using restore points, which are restorable, benchmark “snapshots” of your system.
So ft war e Updates and Re stor ations 4–11 Repairing or Reinstalling Driv ers All dri vers required for notebook functionality can be reinstalled from the Driver Recovery CD included with your notebook. If you ha ve not reinstalled your operating system, these dri vers can also be reinstalled from your hard dri ve.
4–12 So f twar e Updates and R estor ations Repairing or Reinstalling App li cations All applications preinstalled or preloaded on your notebook can be repaired or reinstalled by using the Driver Reco very CD.
